He is human! How many others of this state, elected officias, have little dirty secrets to hide?? I am not condoning his acts, but, how many of us have had an extra-marrital affairs?? I have, my husband and I divorced because of it. We worked thru things, and re-married on June 5th of this year, our original wedding date, after beening divorced for 11 years. I sincerely hope that the Sanfords can work thru this, dispite all the media crap!!

I'm sure the mind of Bill Clinton was on business when he was having non-sex sex in the White House. Can you not handle problems at home, work, and the many other areas of your life or do you have to concentrate on one thing at a time? I am not condoning the governor's actions but I am looking at this with practicality. Did Mark Sanford commit treason? Did the great and wonderful Ted Kennedy resign after Chappaquiddick? NO. He had to die before being put out of office. Oh, I forgot. Ted had the D behind his name-different set of rules. Have a great day.

bill clinton, our democratic president set the standard for elected officials by his conduct in office. are the people that are soo outraged by sanfords conduct equally outraged by clinton or is this another political mind set ? we need to gain back our country and thro the bums out and that means any elected official that cannot conduct himself or herself to a moral standard fitting to call oneself a leader ! get mad ! and get fed up !
