With all the need for fresh water in the everglades, why not send the water that direction? Only makes sense to keep in the right area and not send it into the river and goof up the whole eco system.

Now tell me why it won't work, that's what govt. does so well instead of just doing it right.

Hi Charlie,
The mass of land us sugar owns is directly in the path of the original and natural flow of the everglades river of life.
It will work once the state/water management/we the people/tax payers purchase the us sugar property.
This won't solve all the problems but it certainly will help in getting the flow back to what it was before the government allowed industry to override the ecology.
Unfortunately many people have and will be out a job when the plant is shutting/shut down.
It is large sacrifice to many already struggling families but it has to be done to "do it right".
