Dog's on Beach?

I had the good fortune to spend a part of my weekend visiting Fort Myers Beach. After sitting in traffic for 1 hour to get across the bridge to sit in line looking for a parking place & then having the surprise of finding that parking is $2.00 an hour now, I read the list of things prohibited on the beach & then after finding that perfect spot to look at the dirty water I noticed police officers walking thru the crowd checking for open containers of booze while people are walking their dog's up & down the beach! Are dog's being allowed on Fort Myers Beach now? If not why are not the rules being enforced? The party that I was with did not notice anyone drinking on the beach but there were 5 different people walking their dog's on the beach & in the water. Wouldn't it be more important that dog's be kept off the beach & out of the water by these officers walking around instead of wasting their time looking for someone with an open container?

Nobody bothers us when our two dogs are with us while we drink beer. They are looking for the obnoxiuos people drinking and disturbing the peace and the freaking idiots that don't clean up after their pets. DEAL WITH YOU BIG ASS WHINNER. go to Sanibell Beach!

You call yourself dog lover, but then b!tch about seeing dogs on the beach?
The dogs are probably cleaner then half of the humans visiting the beach.
At least dogs don't leave cigarette butts and soda cans behind.

I do have compassion for you and your daughter. I don't blame you for avoiding
where dogs are permitted. The people there don't pick up after there dogs anyways!!!!!! Yuuuch. Welcome to Fort Myers Florida anyways. Be careful out there as there are many idiot drivers out there. Especially be careful in parking lots as it seems to be rear view mirrors are an option in vehicles these days.
People don't use them nor their brakes at stop signs!!!!!!
