Zimmerman not guilty, but ALEC sure as hell is

Jul 13, 2013 Full story: Daily Kos 1,499

ALEC created the Stand Your Ground Law that allowed George Zimmerman to kill an unarmed, innocent young black man and be acquitted in a court of law by a jury of his peers.

The NRA heavily lobbied the Florida legislature (as well as other States) for the “Stand Your Ground” bill. The NRA is using Florida as a model for a national campaign to get a similar law in every state — a campaign that continues even in the wake of the death of Trayvon Martin. The American Legislative Exchange Counsel (ALEC) formed a task force to draft model legislation based off the Florida bill. However, since the TM vs GZ case ALEC has dropped NRA sponsored bill.

Funny you should ask. lol I did an article on this.
Saggin
Ok I’m in Kmart to buy a tent and there are a few young men with sparkling white teeth, golden earring in one ear, bright white wifebeaters and bold colored t-shirt, their shoes were bright white and brand new. All is good right; wrong they were wearing their pants around their groins where the thigh joins the abdomen meet. They pull their pants up repeatedly because they start to fall down as they walk, and they have perfected that slow dip walk so they don't fall down altogether. I can see the designs and name brand of the underwear.
Curious as I usually am I do a bit of research when I get home. I find that “saggin” or wearing pants around your groin started in prison. According to Greg Mathis, a retired Michigan 36th District Court judge and syndicated television show judge on the reality court show, sagging was adopted from the United States prison system where belts are sometimes prohibited to prevent prisoners from using them as weapons or committing suicide by hanging themselves. The style was later popularized by hip-hop artists in the 1990s. It later became a symbol of freedom and cultural awareness among some youths or a symbol of their rejection of the values of mainstream society (Sagging (fashion)- Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
What these youths really don’t know is there is an even more obvious reason why pants are sagging in prison. If the pants are below a man's butt, it is to introduce to other men that he is homosexual. As Eazy E once said about women in skirts, "For easy access, baby." That’s right boys it was considered a way to solicit sex and let other inmates know you were open for business.
Strange isn't it wanted to be called gay when they are not and wanting to broadcast that your back door is open!? Laughable and they look down-right stupid! lol
Pull up your pants!!!
Excellent. I forgot the trend was adopted to emulate the prison population, However it is the first time I have heard about the homosexual aspect. Thanks for the laugh

I would have to say he is more like a Black Octopus.

Whenever he feels frightened, he pisses a one-liner and hauls zass.

I understand rhinos are so stupid they will charge at the sound of their crap hitting the ground.

Why not extend the Stand Your Ground law to lawful street enforcement by Police Officers? After all they put their lives on the line every day – what makes an ordinary citizen more privileged than police officers in their right to protect themselves? Why is it not legal for police to shoot to kill first and ask questions later if they have cause to prevent a physical attack from a person on the street?
... "Attorney Burris also said that the prosecution should have argued that Martin was actually the person standing his ground. "After all, he was the one being pursued," he said. "That never was argued in any kind of way by the prosecution. The fact that he himself was standing his ground, and what he had a right to do."
