Man pleads guilty to beating and raping 85-year-old

On Wednesday, 18 years after Wesley Jay Farrarr slipped into the home of an 85-year-old Casselberry woman and raped and beat her, he pleaded guilty and was ordered to prison.

I don't understand why one would be sentenced by guidelines in effect at the time the crime was committed. He wasn't caught years ago when he committed the crime. He was caught this year and should be sentenced by guilelines in place at the time of conviction.

He's had years of freedom that should be deducted from his "good" time if they are going to use old guidelines as a means of sentencing. So 40 years - 1/3 = 26.7 years - "good" time = 16 years + 18 years of illegal freedom = 34 years of actual time to serve.

I call BS. DUI is a misdemeanor, less than a year in county.*Nobody* does state prison time for a DUI, unless you killed someone while DUI.

Black culture accepts crime as a normal way of life. Look at crime stats, popular urban music lyrics, etc to see this. Not a racist statement, just an observation of fact.

I was a victim of attempted murder the SOB got 15 years was in for three when he took the plea deal so that came off and after all this time he only ended up doing 8 years because of good time and etc. And 3 years probation well he was out for a year and a half and is back in for violation,so why even let him out in the first place.POS like this have no place in society give him to Old Sparky
