Wouldn't be funny if Bob Beckett ran against Ron Kent for DA? Both of them rolled county cars while they were drunk and basically got away with it. It would be funny to watch them try a DUI case.

This time Bob won't be an Automatic shoo-in. He'll have tough competition. It won't be Ron Kent he has to worry about either. Too many know about his antics.

If they both run and one of them wins , he could make sure they both atill have jobs with the prosecutor's office. Maybe they could bring back Dwight Duncan.

To me its the one's doing the voting that are the fool's... A vote for any politician goes against all "common sense"...

hope a candidate with integrity runs. without grand juries how can anyone feel they were allowed due process of law. does anyone remember a grand jury in pahrump?

From what I've heard, everythings plea bargained. They railroad everyone into pleading guilty.

a few years ago, a fellow name of brian turner wrote a letter to the editor at the PVT, critical of bob beckett. instead of accepting or rejecting the letter for publication the PVT forwarded the letter to the nye co. D.A.. after that brian went on the eye on nye show on KVPM. he was picked up after the show by NCSO. the charge felony grand larceny- for the theft of an old dog pen. i went to the court hearing to hear the complaint. an ex girl friend wanted the previously abandoned pen back, brian was using it and needed time to make alternative arrangements. to be continued...

the charge was felony grand theft- not larceny. mea cilpa again! for an old dog pen? really mr. beckett?
after sitting up in jail in tonopah for a few months brian was allowed the plead guilty to a misdemeanor and released. i don't know what happened to brian after that, i never saw him around again. i guess the lesson is-don't be critical of bob beckett, yes, brian was railroaded into pleading guilty.
when a person does something they know is wrong, they themselves are the key victims.

That vehicle he rolled was a ford expedition-notorious for poor gas mileage. what nye co. business was happening in california- on sunday?
if he had two accidents in one day, for being in a "diabetic coma" the man is a menance to public safety and not allowed to drive!!! wouldn't it be interesting to match the gas charged to the county and the miles on the vehicle? what is he driving now? NO-let me guess cadilac escalade.

lady justice is not blind in nye county. in fact she can see quite well, and is arbitrary and caprisious.
if you have a concern go directly to eric holder-the attorney general of the united states.
trying to reason with beckett is a waste time.

Personal use of Nye county sheriff cars and gas must be ok because you can see it all the time..I was at sandwich shop and up drove a sheriffs car, out came two men dressed in shorts and tee shirts, and their conversation was how each played their game of golf this morning, then came a second sheriffs car, one of those new dodge rams, out came a lady in sweat pants and wearing flip flops and her young son gets out wearing his pajamas. Now you tell me these people were on duty? My church going neighbor tells me there is a one that drives a sheriffs car to church with his family almost every sunday. So I guess this is allowed by the head man.

in cold blood, i can imagine ascenario where a sheriffs deputy might have to have his car with him, paticularly if others might need some quick backup.
so, what could be a reason for beckett to be in ca. on sunday in a county car? someone suffering an injustce? i doubt it!

He probably drank all the booze in Pahrump and had to go to California to get more. LOL
