The best French restaurant in Atlanta we ate at in a very long time. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. They make you feel at home.

The food is just delicious esspecially the truffle butter steak. Everything is fresh and made to order and the service is excellent. You'll never frequent a place that knows more about wine, but there is a full bar available if you feel like a martini.

As a chef and reswtaqurant reviewer I'm sad to say that my great expectations were dashed by the rudest service and worst food I've had this year. Specifically-supermarket bread in a supposedly French bistro (gaggh!), oil drenched vegetables and food that simply was not fresh. When sent back, rather than graciousness there was an angry tirade from the owner. Be warned.

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on a Thursday evening and sat outside on the patio with the heaters. Despite the rain the place was packed. Our food was good. We split the salad since it was quite large for one person. My only complaint was the service was slow (since they were so busy). I'd go back. It's so nice to see Sandy Springs getting some nice restaurants.

I couldn't agree more - about the service (surly by the Male waitron).. and the bread is definitely "supermarket". When I suggested that the French are super picky about their bread, all he could say is "we're working on it". Amazing that dozens of other fine eateries have discovered the "specialty bakers of Atlanta", to bring into their dining rooms. Been twice; won't go again. No, he's not a "liar"... just someone who isn't afraid to say what he thinks, instead of sugar-coating an otherwise mediocre "French" experience. He seems knowledgeable, and shows good taste. Sam Pliner - Patron wrote: You are a liar - <quoted text>

Our second visit. The mussels were full of gritty sand. My wife complained. The waitress came back from the kitchen with the same mussels in hand saying, "the chef says it is pepper". Bull! Then when the rib eye, 2nd choice, came out my wife asked where was the béarnaise sauce, the answer was "no that steak does not come with that", leaving we rechecked the menu, yes it does. When confronted, we were told, "oh, we are out of that tonight". My swordfish was so dry and lacking flavor I drowned it in balsamic vinegar on which was fortune on the table. Enough, not again.$82 for a not enjoyable evening. Oh, did I mention the noise! When will Americans learn not to scream at each other when dining out?

Okay, Owner of a restaurant would know how to spell it!! The veggie that you are referring to are a tradition in the south of France. Not sure what kind of food you thought it wold be, but you are up to no good with that review!?!?! Our first visit to LPM was the very night HMB argued with the owner--loudly in the parking lot. After he skulked off, we reassured her of the excellence of our experience. We went back last night and it was even better. This is an authentic Paris bistro without the long plane ride!

The lamb chops were delicious, the desserts are spectacular and hard to find anywhere else. Oh yes...the Verdi salad....also wonderful and enough for two to share. This was my first experience at this local place...we live here in SS. I must say that I would definately come back for the food. Now about the service....very slow...our second bottle of wine came after the entrees (no excuse for this) and our waiter kept disappearing. How he managed that in such a small restaurant is a mystery. He was also a bit snooty..but it was kind of amusing as he was able to fill the stereotype quite nicely. Did I mention the place was packed? YES! PAcked. It goes to show that great food will win out over mediocre (at best) service. I will be back (when I have plenty of time and lots of patience.)
