The sad part is there is more out there and they haven't been caught. Look at some of the things parents have done to thier children including killing them and we ask why do they have children when there are people that want children and can not have them?
Not to long ago the man that throw his 4 children over the bidge?
The lady in Texas that cut her daughters arms off?
Your right what is wrong with them?

I am concerned the nine year old girl was released to her Dad. I assume he lives with the "step" mother. If so he would have had to have known what was going on, how could he not. But I will also assume the authorities know what they are doing. Let's pray for her safety...

If this is the family I am thinking of...they got into trouble either last winter or this winter for leaving 2 girls out in the cold. The girls ran to a friends house about 1/2 a block away with no coats and I dont think they had shoes on. I also think the 2 girls have tried to runaway before too. I hope the biological mother is around and is better fit to take care of these 2 little girls. If not I know of some families that could be of a benefit for them but of course they have to be removed and after all this is Knox County. If it was an animal it would be removed and adopted by now.

Our laws are not strong enough to stop all this abuse. Plus their fine and a sentance, when they come out to continue to spend every week-end in jail for a year.
Not surprised either

Having grown up in Knox County, I have to say this is pretty much par for the course.

Yes this has been happening for ages but it prob. will only get worse the further we get away from morals and "gasp" belief in God. Funny how now adays your a jerk or an idiot for thinking its weird or wrong for a man, who used to be a woman and is now married is preg. Google it. If we are not careful it will be a "sin" or unlawful to be a christian. Funny this country was founded so we could be free christians.

I agree, alot of folks think we have a half way good political/judicial system, when in fact they are all crooked. We basically have an anarchy government as of now.

I HAD HEARD ABOUT THE MAN THROWING HIS KIDS OVER THE BRIDGE,BUT NOT ABOUT THE LADY IN TEXAS CUTTING HER DAUGHTERS ARMS OFF. I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE THAT ONE. I WOULD LOVE TO GET MY SHOES ON THIS ONE.

I used to work Child Protection Services. It is a raging joke. Don't expect too much from the system. The Governor is always promising more funding but it actually gets cut. There aren't enough workers, the police are completely uneducated when it comes to child abuse and neglect and the judges making decisions about the child's welfare know little more as well. You go in and give your recommendations and they go with what cost the state the least money. You try and help the kids but they end up right back home, the parents get a slap on the wrist (unless they have actually killed the kid, starved them until they are about to die, or made them take part in a prostitution ring--my point here is it has to be extreme!) and you end up out there in the middle of the night the next week. It is a never ending cycle of let's put a band-aid here and call it a night process.
