And this is why you keep your eyes on the road and off of the cellphone.

Doesn't say they were on their cell phone. Way to be compassionate to the family that just lost their child.

Meh, I completely understand where you are coming from, but now is probably not the time to say "I told you so" These families are hurting and I'm sure the girl who was driving if she is not in critical condition is feeling terrible about the situation. Now is the time for compassion and prayers.

no one said anything about cell phone. this is a dangerous road that is not lit very well. please dont assume a cell phone or anything else was in play here.

People make mistakes everyday. Nor do we think it would end our day in such loss.

Agree with you totally. On SandSpringsLeader.com it says they were on phone, texting, just missed the stop sign.

I'm sorry for the loss of a young life. I have a 17 year old daughter that drives and it totally urks me when I ride with her and see all the people that pull out in front if her. The kids have to learn that they are not invinceable and that a car is a weapon. And that it is a privelage not a right to get to drive a vehicle. And that driving comes with a responsibility to yourself and your passegers and the other driver on the road. Everyone has got to STOP at intersections with stop signs and I dont mean a rolling stop or a yield. Cant everyone just slow down a bit ?? why does everyone have to be in a hurry now days???

Isn't it illegal to have this amount of teens in the car unless they are relatives? Maybe that is why we have the law to protect the kids.

My heart just bleeds for this family. No matter what you tell your children-when they get out of ur sight -theyre gonna do as they please.
I have met this young woman and she was brought up by some outstanding parents and i just can't imagine what i would do if she was my child. I am just torn on why -they weren't wearing seat belts.
my prayers are for the parents who have suffered a loss. And also the ones that are still in the hospital.
