For heaven's sake. Quit blaming Obama or Wal-Mart. The economy is in deep you-know-what. It's not one person or one businesses fault. We're all hurting and wondering when it will be our turn. When people don't have money to spend, business cut back or close.

Our jobs are in Asia and Africa. The more people who are unemployed the less people there are to spend money.

When people are not buying stuff then companies lay off.

They try to make it sound like things are getting better but we know that is a lie.

More jobs? Where? Doing what? The higher taxes for the latest fiasco will close even more businesses and cause more lay offs so small businesses can get under the magic 50 employee number so they can be exempt.

Walmart laying off 300 more people means 300 more taking from the system and 300 less paying into it. Do the math - how long can that go on before someone says no more bad checks from the USA?

Everything these days is based on credit score - I have to wonder what our country's credit score would be? LOL

did you know that most of us at walmart work too few hours to even support ourselves
and insurance we could pay $89 a month with a $5000 deductible emergency room only
or we could pay $189 a month with a $500 deductible which by the way would not cover a 5 day stay in the hospital for pneumonia

each of these insurance policies i could find independent offering the same rates what is the point of having benefits if you don't get a savings

i cannot even afford to get an apartment due to walmart hiring more employees (grunts) and cutting hours
much less afford insurance so i can get surgery on my gallbladder

If you work at or want to work at Wal-Mart, you sure will be a slave!! They don't want any excuses; no Dr. excuses they just want you to do as your told by I all the managers your under!! and they don't care if your short handed or not "JUST GET THE JOB DONE", and if you have overtime cause you were short handed your gonna get coached or written up!!
And after all that if you have a problem or complaint the manager doesn't care and doesn't want to hear it. And home office is doing the same thing, Wal-Mart just doesn't care!! I believe Wal-mart is over their head, and just doesn't care about their employees!! or JUST GREEDY!! which I would think it"s GREED!!! Wal Mart us employee's have made WAL-MART we should be intitled to more pay!!!!!!!

One check-out open and 17 check out lanes. I want to complain but since Walmart has more assets than General Motors, it will be fruitless. The manager here in IN told me people refuse to come to work after being hired, sometimes because "gasoline is too expensive". Look at all the people needing jobs! Makes no sense, why are the unemployed not called to work at Walmart more often if most quit shortly after being hired? Anyway, empty check-out lanes do not look good! Let's make them all self-serve check out and no more problems with cashiers!?!?

They have plenty of market people who are dead wood that they can lay off. Never met one who I thought was worth the air they were breathing. Just a bunch of tattle tales/morons who knew nothing about running a real store. Very egotistical as well.

ALL of the people I have met from Bentonville were useless. Never added anything that would help with sales for the local stores. Just taking up space and air.

Wow, layoffs have been a part of busness ever since there has been business, but all of a sudden with Obama as President standard business practices and realities are supposed to magically change to no layoffs.

Always been layoffs, always will be layoffs.

Even Obama, walk on water as he may, cannot save every job.
