Our prayers are with the family and friends...A tragic accident that could have been prevented.
I would say that Steven's mug shot says it all "the look of I don't give a **** what I did". He needs to be punished for life!!!

An accident is an accident. No one said he was under the influence at this point. Yes, apparently he should not have been driving with no license. It is sad for everyone. The family of 3 most definitely. Also the family of a young person. If anyone has had perfect children out there wow, you are lucky. It isn't a sin for your family to have money, but jealousy is listed as a sin. Sounds like there are a lot of people out there making assumptions. If I was his mother this would be so heart breaking to think how your son has affected other lives. Again an accident is just that an accident.
Sorry but I disagree. When you knowingly and intentionally break the law (drive without a license, transport illegal drugs) then the outcome can be tragic. Doing it anyway is taking a KNOWN risk, which is exactly what he did. His license was taken away and that meant he was not supposed to be driving. He did it anyway. I'm not finding the consequences of his actions (the wreck) to be an accident but rather his braizen disrespect of the law. He KNEW BETTER! HE DID IT ANYWAY! Shall we even go into this same analysis on the marijuana?
Now, where does the word "accident" come into this?

It's not just an accident when someone is driving illegally. He had no valid license, it is illegal for him to drive, that's not an accident. That is willfully disobeying the law. His breaking the law resulted in three people dying. He chose to break the law, that wasn't an accident. He probably didn't intend to kill anyone, but had he not broken the law by driving, it wouldn't have happened. He is 100% to blame for three innocent lives being lost and should be harshly punished by the law.

I saw a yellow hummer not long ago driving on 41st street... weaving in and out of traffic almost took the front end off my car because I was going just a little slower than he thought I ought to be...(the speed limit) and guess what... he kept on doing it as far as I could see him... isn't it a shame that drivers are so aggressive and hostile that they do this to people.. I wonder, if it was the same hummer?

I'd much rather be in my 4x4 truck than a rinky dink car that is the reason they should be allowed on the street. I'ts much safer.
Much safer for you, much more dangerous for everyone else. Which is why if YOU cause the accident then YOU should pay for it since you're the one wielding a huge tank. Sure, it's your right, but with increased risk should be increased responsibility and cost of insurance.

Your information is important. It's too bad you chose to use hateful additives to make a point. Go to the other forum under "Update..." and add your comment about actually witnessing his driving. They need to hear other facts as well. I respect the nature of your Anger, especially when caused by horrendously poor choices as demonstrated by this young man but, you will be heard by many more people if you leave the personal "hate-speak" out of the message. There was a Nurse, an RN, who was the 2nd on the scene and she too has a story. It is softer in nature than your comments and she shows empathy for Wade while still realizing the tragic effect on all involved. Both comments are, of course, valid. But don't for one moment think that ANYONE, friend, family or foe of this young man (or he himself); thinks lightly of the death of any other human being!

... it is considered an accident because there was no intent to do any harm. He did not get into his car with intent to harm anyone that day... license or not.

I am pretty sure if he was speeding and there were witnesses to it then he would also have gotten a speeding ticket... so why didn't he? Maybe he wasn't speeding. And I just love how people stereo type people by the car they drive etc. For all you know he could have saved for the last 10 years to buy that car for himself. And I guess I missed the part that IS WRITTEN that spoiled people don't care. It saddens me that there are people out there that actually think like this... it must be a very unhappy way of life being so judgemental.

I read all the comments and not once did I see one in concern for the driver of the hummer. Immediately everyone assumes that it was his intentional fault. It was an accident. Do you know what that driver is going thru? This is something they will have to live with forever. There was no alcohol. We are distracted everyday by many different things...this happened to be a dog. Show compassion to both families that are hurting!!! Two families have faced a loss!!! My prayers to both families!!!!
judging by the smile on his face. it doesnt seem to be bothering him to much

I'm a friend of Wade's and you all are being too hard on him. Yes he was caught with marijuana in the truck, but it belonged to the dog. The dog lit a joint in the back seat, then tried to pass it to Wade.
It could happen! I have a picture of dogs playing poker in my living room, so don't tell me dogs aren't smart!
Wade said he smelled it and turned around to scold the dog, and that is when his truck left his lane and killed those people, so blame the dog and leave my friend alone.
If you don't believe me, call the jail. The dog did not make bail!
How can you sit here and make jokes of such a TRAGIC situation? My thoughts and prayers go out to the familiy of the deceased; especially to their 14 year old daughter who not only lost her mother, father and brother but will be constantly reminded each day as she drives by the site.

The only accident was not impounding his car when he lost his license. His intent to break the law was an accident????? His license was revoked for a reason. Was it not? When your license is suspended or taken away, your considered by the state and the courts unsafe to drive. To do it anyway is utter disrespect for the law and every other law abiding citizen on the road. Even the ones he killed! This was no accident. The law had imposed a penalty on him to try and prevent an accident. He intentionally ignored it. If I tell you not to stick your hand in hot water and you do it anyway.....is that an accident or your own ignorance?
Was the marijuana an accident too?? Or was he just unaware that he shouldn't have it...much less in a car that he was driving illegally.....

I know this family and this Hummer driver killed a good man who was a father, a wonderful lady who was a mother and teen age son leaving their teenage daughter an ORPHAN. The Hummer driver was found to have Marijuana in the suv. The snow had just started and it did not cause this accident.
Lord have mercy on this young man, his carlessness and terrible choice destroyed their lives. Their lives will never ever be the same. This family had friends and loved ones who are devastated and broken hearted.
