If you don't like the "low paying jobs" then get some education. Don't blame others for your own lack of hard work.

You know, I know people that work lower paying jobs that work 100 times harder than people with high paying jobs. Since SprintNextel is one of Alorica's accounts, they get all the dumb impatient CEO's that are too darn lazy to read their Blackberry Manual, and call those low paying wokers at Alorica to "get their phone to work." Who also actually know enough about Sprint phones to take one apart and put back together blindfolded. So remember that when you are accusing someone of a "lack" of hard work!

Thank you Big D, but I have an education, a very accomplished one, not that it matters to you. These people work very hard and I know people who work there, I just believe that they are underpaid for what they do.

Do we have any Alorica workers now or once worked there. I know it is what a collection company. We were eating dinner one night and our hostess said that her and her boyfriend had just moved here from I think colorado because he got a job promotion there so she moved with him. I didn't want to get personal so I didnt ask but she seemed really excited. Anybody tell me the good the bad..Im really interested in the hourly wage and wages for managers..we have a couple of people at our church looking for jobs who are nice, well educated I think one has a degree one doesnt but he has alot of collection and insurance experience. Any help would be appreciated about the company, wages and info thanks

You don't want to work there unless you want to get yelled at all day and under appriciated. The managers are rude and don't care to help for the most part they have about 30+ managers and I've found maybe 2 that are willing to help you with a customer issue and even their flighty. The people that work there are rude the new building is quickly turning into the old ones ways. Suporvisors* don't want to hear it and will fire you because you went to the hospital and not work(happened to me) I wouldn't work there if I got 15$hr and that 50cent raise every 6months is bs they always tell you well look into and see what we can do. Don't bother with that 2bit hack job

You don't always have to have a degree to get a good paying job. There are plenty of degree holders that work in industries not related to what they studied for. If you want a good paying job it seems to me you have to apply yourself and just do it.

I used to work there and I know that they pay between 9.50 and 11.25 to start depending on job and previous experience. Don't expect a lot of raises, when I left there it had been 4 years since I had a raise, other than when I went to a different department. They are not a collection agency, they are technical support. They are an inbound call center. Outbound calls are not allowed. Transfers happen when appropriate, but that is all.

Well I currently work at Alorica. There are two different tiers for the one in Tulsa. You take a test when you apply, if you fail it you make 9.50/hr(I believe), but after your 2 1/2 months of training you go up to 10.00/hr, however in tier 1 tech support you can "upsell" and you have the potential of adding another 7.00/hr over the course of a month. you can max out at 1200.00 in sells incentive cash, which equals out to about 7.00/hr more. so that's about 17.00 if you can sell.
If you pass the test, then you become Advanced technical support(which is the dept. where I'm at). You start out making 11.00/hr(and it's 3 months in training). You get an unlimited number of .50 cent raises every six months. I have heard that a lot of people had a hard time getting payroll to add it, but mine was there the exact date it was supposed to be. There is also shift differential, where you can add up to .75 cents/hr. more. The hours are tiered..25/hr for hours between(something), then .50/hr for hours between something, and then .75/hr for hours between midnight and 2a.m. The weekend always gives .25/hr. more.
Advanced tech actually makes less than Tier one tech because we don't do "upsells", however that is a stat that we do not adhere to(which is awesome 'cause I'm bad at selling). However ATS is more frustrating than(tss). We deal with smartphones, pda's, aircards and emails. Imagine explaining how to setup comcast email to a 60 year old when they don't have the incoming and outgoing server settings.*sigh*. It can be frustrating and make you want to reach through the phone and smack them. ATS, however, doesn't transfer tech issues back to tier 1. We take tier 1 calls, and we also do all customer service regarding bills, so the only transfers we do is when people want to cancel and/or if it's a nextel phone, and even with that we are fixin' to be trained in troubleshooting those phones.
BigD says"If you don't like the "low paying jobs" then get some education. Don't blame others for your own lack of hard work. "
Well BigD. I'd like to see you explain to thousands of customers how to perform every action on every single sprint phone that we have. You won't be able to do it, sir. When you call in because your phone is messing up, do you want to talk to someone with an education or do you want to talk to those "non-educated" workers that get paid shit wages that you speak of? I'm assuming you want an educated person that also gets paid shit wages, because when you go to an "outsourcing" company, that is what you are going to get.
The people that work directly for sprint that do the same job that I do actually make about 6 dollars more an hr. than I do, and that is the case because they haven't been outsourced. Given that I don't live in OKC, this is the only option I have is to work for an outsourcing company like Alorica that works for lower wages than those working directly through sprint.
I get so sick of hearing people like BigD knock people that do jobs for whatever wages. I have a degree in IT administration and I am also trained as a commercial driver. I used to make over 60k a year, but when your best friend George Bush(a.k.a. Hitler) took over the country, he screwed everything up and 'caused freight to go to shit, everyone getting laid off and the only half-way decent paying jobs left are jobs like this, so next time you want to open your mouth and start flappin' your gums, why don't you think about that for a moment and just don't speak.

Don't know about the pay scale but I agree with "krazylegs" inasmuch as the screening of potential employees seems to be lacking. They used to be at CityPlex (where I work) and there were some pretty unsavory characters running around out here with Alorica badges on. Not all, mind you, but some of their people were downright scary. The building joke was "welcome to Alorica, where if you've got a pulse, you've got a job." They still have some presence out here but moved most of their operation to Eastland. CP seems safer as a result.

I think sprint is a piece of shiet company.. they treat 3rd party employees like shiet, makes them stress on every call.. oh another thing Alorica's LIMITED health ins. unaffordable like 88.00 per mnth. Alorica signs on a stupid contract impossible to meet. And during icy winter time dont expect the parking lot to be cleared, bring your ice skates!!!!they outsource in differtn countries, representatives cant speak english for shit, then cust has to call bck in again. managers dont know shit, ask them a question they will look at you like deer and headlights.. oh and heres the update. they rid of ATS .50 raises now its rated on your perfomance. Now sprint has made to where its harder for you to commission.. So all the commission bull shiet no longer exists. sprint slowly removing offers in cust files, so you cant commission. Alorica gets paid millions by sprnt. Alorica pretty much makes u work like those sweat shops in china,(i think its ironic, the ceo of alorica is chinese lol)then they stack thier money. Its so sad people there cannot afford THE LIMITED health insurance provided, so you be at work, working with a tooth ache, and that home made cructches cuz you had no health insurance.. or you can make the sacrafice and eat .50 cents can foods or get in line at the food drive, HA alorica does food drive collected by employees. hummm...?? sad to say its a sad company to work for . so to say if you have the slightest medical conditon like high blood pressure, sorry there's no compensations for that. HEll if they provided affordable health ins. benefits pays and commission it just might be worth it. so overall sprint is a piece of shit company along with alorica
