they should go back to handing out commodities. that would control the costs of food assistance. Alot of stuff people buy with the access cards is not healthy.

Maybe some of the fatties in this state can help out others who aren't quite as fortunate.

you shouldn't condescend to those that have lost jobs, you could lose your job if you have one , would you want commodities? or do you live with your parents? don't count on every republican congressman in this state as all voted against unemployment compensation's they don't give a shit whether you eat or not check the voting record at themiddleclass.org

With Oklahoma's young history and predominantly white population, it makes absolutely no sense for that state to rank so low with Mississippi at just about every statistic category. I can understand why states like Louisiana and Mississippi would be ranked so low in these categories, especially given the history of reconstruction and integration of public education, but what is Oklahoma's excuse?

I'm really not on here trying to humiliate or knock any state(s), but what are the reasons for Oklahoma's low rankings in government stats? I'm willing to give info about my state's problems and why the occur, but I can't honestly figure out Oklahoma's reason for being in the category and rankings with states in the Deep South concerning education and poverty. What happened in OK's history and political system to drive it down so far? There has to be a logic reason for this.

Liberals...... always with the name-calling. When you can't refute it, call 'em names. So many silly random girls, so little time.

Idiots: always with the repeating what is being pounded in your head by Fox news. Idiots: always laying blame where it clearly shouldn't be. Idiots: since they have nothing original to say, they go with terrible Sarah Palin impersonations.

You sure can't tell by looking at all the fat slobs in Oklahoma that they are going hungry. They look to me like they have never missed a meal.

I must admit there are a lot of overweight people in Tulsa. Nobody seems to cook anymore. Everyone eats out. Nobody exercise. Always an excuse.
Can't tell who's pregnant and who's not.
People just eat too much.

After reading this the other day I paid more attention to the people around me. Observed who enter and exit the restaurant, grocery stores, department stores, parking lots,at work......
I would say over 95 percent.
Was at kohl's the other day and every single person in there had belly fat. I think there were about 45 customers in there.....some 50% sale going on.

Just observe your surroundings.
A fascinating thing.

Don't get the hunger part of it. Must be something a bit off on this.
I think I past 50 churches just going to work. I asked someone why he don't help the hungry here......he says it is difficult when a person says they have no food for their kids but has a iPhone,cable/sat.,new car, beer, junk food,etc..... So they help 3rd world regions.

People do what they want I guess.

This a very simply question to answer, Corupt Gov. When you have a Gov. that is more h*ll bent on bringing in a pro BB team or fixin up downtown than creating job's and feeding people we work our way up the stat's. Then you have the # of welfare reciepant's we do and the dead beat parents that won't support they're families coupled with the % of illegal immigrants. It all adds up, But by god we have a rainy day fund that never get's used.

Granted there are selfish people out there who take what they get when they don't need it, but don't put everyone in that category. There are plenty of people here that live "3rd world region" style.

when will you ever learn? you keep putting republicans in office that don't give a shit about you because you have nothing to offer them. Now Wall street and big oil get their attention because they have have something to offer these racist's pricks but in turn these special interest want something for their money spent. They want what they are buying and they get it because they paid for whatever. When Inhofe went to Washington he was broke, he ain't broke now, both senators are millionaires, how do you do that on a 165,000 salary?
