Tragic.. I thought the new licensing laws prevented new drivers from having this many passengers?

This is so sad. SO many "if only's". I lost my best friend when I was 16 to a car wreck, and I know how many families will be affected by this. Nothing that anyone says can do anything to ease their pain and guilt right now. I only pray that other teens will read this, remember to wear their seatbelts, and drive carefully!

Maybe we can take from this tragedy the message of how valuable life is and how vulnerable we are. One little mistake in the car. We have all made 100's of little mistakes driving. Life is so precious. Prayers for the families. Lots of prayers.

My prayers go out to these two families and pray that God helps the drivers of these vehicles through this horrible tragic time, and please God be with the little sister that is still trying to survive. Please help the young people to understand that you are now protecting their friends in heaven.

This is just tragic. I went to school w/ the parents of both girls that have passed and my prayers are with them. I truly feel bad for Dani as her life is forever changed. I also feel for the the young man that was driving the pick up truck and his life will be forever changed. The Sandite community is strong and we will help our fellow Sandites through this loss. May god bless EVERYONE involved!!

I'll keep saying it. 16 is TOO YOUNG to be given full unsupervised driving privileges.

Youg drivers are just too inexperienced to be driving a car load of others around. I know the more the merrier, but also the more in the car, the more distractions there will be. My heart aches for the parents of those girls who died. I wish there was a law that teens had to drive with an experienced driver for a year before being allowed to drive alone.

I'm so sad for the families and classmates of these girls! I remember being in high school and being carefree and thinking "it won't happen to me". Lookin' back, it's amazing that we didn't have any fatalities while I was in school. I'm a Sandite and I know our community will come together to help these families find peace in all of this. Thoughts and prayers are with you all...

This really scares me. I am requiring my daughter try to learn from this tragedy. We are praying for the families tonight at dinner and we never knew any of them. It's too close to home. My heart aches for the families of all of those girls, and especially the driver.

I really hope that the parents of the teen have the insurance up to par to pay for the mans truck that she pulled out in front of. Its not his fault some teen who was not paying attention caused a nasty t-bone.

You are the same one who made the comment on another article about them being on a cell phone, which you did not know what you were talking about. Now you have the audacity to make a stupid coment like this. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??
I hope everyone will pray and be concerned for all familys involved. I hope there are not many cruel people out there like this person!

Well you have a point there considering the man who was driving the truck is technically the victim of the accident considering he was not the one who caused it. Shame those kids died in the wreck but just the matter of the victims vehicle must be dealt with as responsibility cannot be shirked simply because of the persons who caused the accident are young and deceased.

You just went to the head of the line for Karma. You should be ashamed to say something like that when a whole community is grieving.

Are you serious? 2 teenagers just died and you are talking about if the drivers parents have money to pay insurance!!!!!!!! It may not be his fault that she missed the stop sign but I think they are more worriered about dealing with their daughters grief about killing her bestfriends and injuring her sister!

Prayer to the families for their loss. I hope that this encourages everyone to wear their seatbelts, all the time. I will not even pull out of my driveway until I'm buckled in...Also we definitely need to raise the driving age to 18.

Meh-get a life why don't you and while you are at it put in a request for a heart and please don't forget the brain...sadly you are missing all of them. Prayers to the families and the friends all of who are struggling to make sense of it. Everyone please remember to pray for Dani also, such a horrible thing for her to handle, please be sure to support her.

heart breaking and sad. Sandite families stick together and pray for one another. We are praying for all of the victims including the young sandite alumni driver of the truck. This is painfull for all involved and Sandites that care.
