Do the natives of San Saba discriminate against people not from there?
I am doing a little research about small towns...and being from a small town myself...where there is plenty of discrimination I want to see how many others are like it?????
In the town that I am from an outsider could not receive a fair court trial, especially with a jury! There also seems to be this radar that hovers over someone not from my town as well...you can spot them a mile away. I am just curious how many towns suffer from the expression "little-towned"?

Well they can't discriminate against the Mexicans because that is all there is here so you need to talk to the other races that come to work here for the prison and ask them what kind of treatment they get.Inquiring minds want to know.Ask them how the business people treat them.

I don't mean discriminate against other races, because frankly Kingsville, TX. is full of Mexicans.....and many other races as well. Infact Kingsville is home to a major branch of Texas A&M which houses many races from around the world. However......when some of these people wonder the town it is quite obvious that they were not born and raised in Kingsville. It is the outside people who recieve different kinds of treatment. Even those who are not students....just people interested in living in the town can be discriminated against.
So in response I am asking those who have recieved "outsider" treatment to speak up!
I love my town of Kingsville.....but I want to learn how to improve this problem!
Do you beleive that the justice system in little towns suffer from discrimination due to the small town relationships??? We have this problem........

US crime rates show 409/100,000 among whites, 1038/100,000 for Hispanics, and the winner is 2468/100,000 among blacks. Blacks are 12.2% of the population but commit 52.2% of the murders. There's just not much to talk about otherwise. That is, except that the problem of certain races can only be solved by that group taking responsibility for their own specific problem. In the case of Blacks the glaring difference is single parent families.

do you believe that the same treatment can be imposed upon people who are simply not born and raised in certain towns? Is that discrimination.....any lawyers out there know if a law such as this exists?????
iS IT "Discrimination" when an individual is unfairly treated for not originating in a small town where everyone knows everyone????????

I appreciate your stats but what I am trying to say is in reference to origin.....not race!
In other words I come from a small town as I said earlier and we can spot an outsider a mile away.....so if this outsider commits a crime they are treated very different as opose to someone born and raised there!
.....Why does this occur?????.....well in my town the judges know the lawyers and the lawyers are usually related to their clients..somehow...this contaminates the system creating bias and the outsider does not stand a chance!!!! I have searched many "small towns" and discovered that Kingsville is not the only one! I am curious to know how many people have suffered this fate!

I am also on a mission to try and pass a law requiring that Judges should not be allowed to work in the town that they originated from. How many agree? Race is a common discrimination..but..I believe that this is one as well!

once the family breaks down, there's nothing to fall back on. That's true with any group. Drugs and alcohol only magnify the problem and drugs and alcohol are involved in almost 100% of social problems. For a single parent family it takes more than 200% effort on the part of the parent to overcome economic problems while at home managing the family and raising the children.

Welcome to the real world ace! So don't commit a crime in a small town and I bet you escape such persecution! Get a clue. It'll never change and if you want to use that as a crutch, well excuse me. Move on.

In a small town meaning San Saba it is about money and who you are as to how you are treated anywhere you go there. It is all about who you are or who you or not.

This is TRUE!! Don't do the crime if you can't do the time!
HOWEVER.......let's take an example of someone who is from my small-town (with somewhat of a prominent rep.) and was drinking and driving..he gets pulled over but is then let go! Now let's take an individual who commits the same crime and is taken in handcuffs to jail for the night. While drinking and driving is against the law regardless of WHO you are ALTHOUGH the punishment often varies in a small town!
AM I RIGHT OR AM I RIGHT!!!!!!

I have mentioned the name of the town I am talking about.....names are irrelivent because I am asking a general question....has anyone ever been a victim of discrimination based upon the fact that they were not born and raised in that particular small town.
****ANOTHER example, which happened in the town I am from, this past year a girl and her boyfriend beat a guy to death outside of a sports bar and because the girl's mother is a well known judge she is walking around free as a bird. While there may be other technicalities involved.....her boyfriend has yet to be released. This girl has a long history of causing problems yet she has always managed to obtain a slap on the wrist.....NOW LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! While this may be speculation, THINK ABOUT IT...Had this been someone from out of town, with little "connects", the results may have differed. MAYBE?????
