"Marin City is not the true representative of what the rest of Marin County looks like,"
No shyit Sherlock...
Let's see, how many times does 16 go into 65?
That's four generations of these human barnacles latched onto our county and our tax dollars.

Bulldoze the projects and get these perennial human weeds out of our faces.

"Gracie Stover said that when she moved into her public housing unit 53 years ago she had a husband and three children. Today, Stover said she lives in the unit by herself."
"Don't take our homes away from us," Stover said. "Let me go out feet first."
Conchita Sibbalucca, who has lived in her unit for 50 years, said, "I have nine grandchildren. They come on weekends. I beg you not to make me move into a one-bedroom apartment."
Royce McLemore, a long-time public house resident and community activist, said that because there is a limited number of one-bedroom units in Marin City, some seniors may have to be uprooted from the community where they have their family and support systems.
"If you move a senior out of their environment there are devastating effects," McLemore said.

So how long is too long. Will there be the tenth generation of the Black shipyard workers, now welfare mooches entrenched in Marin City in 2100 A.D.?

It sounds like this church is doing good things for the community and it's nice to see them celebrate this anniversary. It's good to see people trying to make it a better community.

It would be fun to see what happened if a Caucasian or Latino showed up at any of the services, though!

Exactly! And with all the Government cuts to services for the Tax paying citizens, maybe it is truly time to cut these loosers free.

Dear Jim, you are going to see the stupidity of hate and prejudice continue long after the people who have been segregated rise above these small minded bigots. It is no secret that there has been a shady history in this area that began as a segregated community and remains so to this day. Categorizing every man, woman and child as criminal is the attitude that has fed the lies that carry these falsehoods from the days of the old south to toney Marin. If you want to put an economic face on the problems in this county, how about trying the brokers on the hills that have drained the life savings and equity of every citizen? Hate does not have more appeal just because it has a mancured lawn. By the way, who is doing the manacuring?

exactly, no one puts a gun to their heads and says "go rob someone" or "go get high and be a drain on society and everyone else's tax dollars."
There is no talk or racism or anti-minority propaganda, just facts about a community.
How much would my property value increase if Marin City was demolished and multi-million dollar homes were erected?

Enlighten us with your brilliance Jim. Degrees? Civic awards? Notable accomplishments. Sanger??, are you finally in prison for your drug habit? Is that why you fled from New York state? A one trick pony running around shouting "RACISTS!!". Is that all there is?

Yeah, armed guards are preventing these folks from moving out of there. More like they cannot be removed with a prybar. It's self segregation into perpetuity--as long as the taxpayers pay for free cable, free utilities, negligible rent paid by SSI crazy money and helped along by MediCal and food stamps.

"Manacuring".....Is that like smoking meat?

I go to this church, so I feel that I'm that can intelligently speak about it, instead of issuing ignorant and uniformed commentary on it. All I can speak to is what they are trying to do, which is help people spiritually. They believe and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encourage their members to follow His example. This church is concerned about the community, and they welcome all races. No snake oil or snakes involved. LOL

I believe the time has come for residents of Marin City to think for themselves, not Church think, nor Liberal think.

The welfare state has destroyed their pride and independence; it is the drug-for-Democrat vote. Section 8, no father. More children, bigger welfare check ... but children unwanted: crime, prison ... etc.

But You gotta remember Jim, those Lil' Border Buddies of Yours will set the Civil rights movement, Womens rights movement and even Animal rights back at least a century.

Thank God for Rev Leggett he certainly helped me get my life back on the right path. I am a 37 year old male from Marin City who defitnately needed some guidance and some advice and he stepped in and took me under his wing. I was recently baptized and I am a member of First Missionary Baptist Church. We are lucky to have him.
