BIG election! If 30 passes, 32 fails, and Obama is re-elected, it will be the perfect storm that will lead to California's complete financial collapse within four years.

The sickest thing about Calif is that you can fire a maid who does a terrible job, or a gardener who does a terrible job, but because of Teachers Union ownership of the State Democratic Party you have to keep Teachers in the classroom who do a terrible job of teaching our kids.

Protecting failed Union members means more to Calif parents/voters than their OWN kids education. Sick.

"Living wage" for hotel workers? Here's a headzup... You're not SUPPOSED to make a living wage!!! That should be one of three jobs you have, because you're UNSKILLED LABOR! When you're unskilled labor, you work hard for <drum roll> LOW WAGES!!

Your WAGES are LOW because there are so MANY of you!! Employment is the law of supply and demand, like most other elements for a business. To solicit the government to, at the point of a gun, PAY you more than you're worth as an employee in the real world is forcing the hotel to subsidize YOUR bad, or limited choices in your life, and/or to subsidize the Mexican government who betrays you and your family!

You stupid Mexicans have picked up on this socialism and communism fantasy that doesn't work, and are trying to bankrupt your neighboring country that does far better than you, rather than attempt to grow a pair and start the revolution in your country that needs to happen if any of the relatives you left behind can ever hope to sustain "a better life."

You hotel workers are cowards, and thieves. You should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to manipulate the stupid in this country. Especially the Editorial board of the Press Telegram. That's like manipulating a collective retarded person. Be ashamed. Be very very ashamed, you cowards. You weasels. You putos.

Perhaps you are the 'stupid' one because not all hotel works are Mexican and some educated well paid workers are Mexican. You have a point until you make comments which make you sound like an uneducated moron.

Since nobody said all hotel workers are mexicans, or that there were not some well paid or educated mexicans, the only standing moron in this thread might be YOU.
