Our city strives to increase the number of these worthless rats. It is the mission of Housing and Community Development, nobody will just tell them NO! Nobody! Not this council or the next, it's too sensitive an area and could cost votes to liberal Dems.

"increase affordable housing supply", can you believe that?!

we don't need support rallies for the police. we do need our city manager to keep us informed on new officers, so far we've just heard this generic "going well" offering. when will they be on board? another batch is leaving as planned and more will likwely bail when council imposes a contract with hefty cuts, then what?
myass hurts now

spam, clueless, disagree you say? we know (x) number have already announced intention to retire. if the new imposed contract cuts into the pension calculation for other officers eligible but uncommitted as yet, you think they will hang around longer to reduce their pension? crazy!! we will be in a world of hurt public safety wise this summer, but not to worry, recruiting is going well according to our carpet-bagger city manager that lives in another town like the other department heads, especially nestlerode, the fairfield resident packing this city with more affordable housing residents and future parolees.

Are you referring to that "rally" that had Sam and 3 vets on the steps? All I saw was Sam touching himself while moaning and saying Osby and Sunga's name. Calling that a rally is an insult to cops everywhere. VPD has more support than that. Unfortunately Sam has taken it upon himself to try and be some sort of spokesperson for them while falsely claiming family members and other Officers support him. No one, regardless of their beliefs, will stand next to that idiot windbag wanna be politician. Those Vets obvioulsy didn't know the woman beatin tax cheat would be there either or they would have found another way to show their support.

I agree. The small turnouts are more of an embarrassment than anything. Given the choice police or thug community, hellllllo?

This has to be the most intellegent thing Ive ever read on the VIB...

@tic toc

What a shock, more threats, from a less than intelligent, anti social, angry person with no coping skills whatsoever. I won't be holding my breath. For over 40 years a small group of ignorant losers have threatened a "revolution", with zero action. It occasionally gets close with riots like LA and Oscar grant protests, but as you've seen in those instances, you just end up destroying your own neighborhoods and going to jail. You are FAR outnumbered by law enforcement, military and law abiding citizens who are armed. It can't and won't happen. A group of people who can't
support their own children, aren't smart enough to organize a revolution. And your shooting skills are horrible. I guarantee you, half of the men who show up in our Emergency rooms with gunshot wounds to the leg, shot themselves accidentally. So, I would suggest you rethink your dreams of more violence. It won't end well for you.

that sums it up to a T
hooray for troops
