A Vallejo Winco: To be or not to be? Hearing set for Jan. 24
http://www.timesheraldonline.com/news/ci_2239...

A proposed Winco Foods grocery store will have its day in court next week.

Opponents of the would-be store's environmental study will face off against city attorneys a week from today in Fairfield following a tentative court ruling in favor of the opposition.

The lawsuit against the city of Vallejo, for approving a state-required Environmental Impact Report on the Redwood Parkway store construction project, was initially filed Feb. 17.

On Nov. 30, Superior Court Judge D. Scott Daniels issued a tentative ruling in favor of plaintiffs California Healthy Communities Network, Friends of Lake Chabot and Vallejoans for Responsible Growth, who are behind the suit.

Hi folks,

In case you don't know me, I'm Joe Feller, head of VIB community development obstruction. I am the a s s hole you can thank for the court case against Winco. I am a miserable bastard who has dedicated his life to stopping any substantial revenue generation from occurring in Vallejo. I just had to hire a body guard to escort me around town due to all of the threats I have been receiving. I can assure you I will go to my grave one way or another fighting the Winco project and any and all other revenue generating projects that try to come to Vallejo.

Fail yes, epic no. Divorce rate n the US is like 50% moron and we don't knw the reasons he got divorced so it really don't matter now does it? On the other hand, it really takes brains to fail on filling out simple paperwork how many times was it? 4, 5 times? Now thats EPIC, even for a moron. And how many time did he lie about paperwork being accepted, locations of where the petition was, ect? I'm really tired now that I spanked you so just go in a corner and think about what just happen to you.

Tony or Sammy? If you mean Tony, that may well be the case but that would be between him and his wife or ex as the case may be. His acts effected him and his family. Sammy on the other hand, lied to us, the people, and wasted our time and taxpayer money because of a personal vendetta with Gomes and Brown. Sorry but Sammy's acts are much worse then Tony's, EPIC fails IMO.

I stand corrected, cases is true, as to shenanigans and controversies, all I have ever heard is baseless accusations by Sammy and his minions. The man has no criminal record that I know of. His reasons for leaving Fighting Back were never published, again just Sammy flinging poop like a monkey in a zoo.

To protect them from a community that allows Sam Kurshan to function.

Winco will benefit the whole city and its citizens, yet just a few radicals are able to hold this town hostage when it comes to economic development and investment potential. It's time the council sets it foot down and fight for the righ!

This is not a good location for a large grocery store. Traffic at this location is some of the heavyist in Vallejo and adding more would crate major conjestion; problems for drivers and pedestrians. The "improvements" required by Planning would cause a huge disruption in the already busy Redwood st. corridor. It's not only a bad idea it's clear that there NEVER was any serious consideration for Winco to build here; just a bullshit scam to try and sell the Elks property.

No, whats clear is the fact that all the activists opposed to Winco coming to Vallejo are paid stooges for the labor unions. If Winco was a union shop they would welcome them with open arms.

Yes, I'm sure there is that element there but overall the location is just not suitable for this type of business. The old Walmart or the old Canned foods warehouse locations would be a better choice, cheaper too. I don't see unions keeping their death-grip on America for too many more years. Union wages and demands have killed so many businesses and stifled fair competition in so many markets that OUR American economy cannot sustain their socialist agenda for much longer.
