The old chief ,you remeber only wanted to hire laterals. It cost a fortune as many retire after 10 years or so with big pensions. We dont have many trainees so stop your whining. Hopefully they will replace the bitter anti citizen ones.
And what does Chief Kreins prefer? Do you know? He wants experience like any other employer, not whatever the taxpayers can afford more of. Crazy!!

i took a look at the report from schivley's committee. there is no item concerning staffing ratios of experienced(and how it's defined) to entry-level officers. this ratio can be observed without regard to external conditions. do we have "too many" or "not enough" experienced now? will we have enough in five years?
i look forward to the police chief's report to council on staffing and recruiting, let's hear from a real expert what staffing should be and the consequences of overstocking with entry levels in the name of more police whatever it takes. i don't think it's as easy as that.

How many more EXPERIENCED cops could Vallejo have if the previous EXPERIENCED cops hadn't cost the city millions in lawsuits due to INCOMPETENCE? Grissle, you have an answer for that MR. EXPERIENCED INCOMPETENT idiot? You Kurshan ball suckers (both of you) can dislike my comments all you like, they are still true.

Why now do you give credence to the Ad Hoc Committee after intially bashing it.

What is your critera. Is it arrests per dollar spent, amount of complaints, pension liability etc.

i gave no creedance, i criticized the scope of it.
2 entry per 1 experienced, or whatever formula the chief prescribes, but no interference or questioning his judgement to stretch a dollar for appearances sake.

My guess is none. It is no secret from Fresno to Redding the activists groups, in COV, are wrestling for control of the ship. Kreins took the job as a favor to Keen. Put a citizens advisory committee in place and he will leave gracefully. He hasn't spent 30+ years climbing the ladder to end his career answering to the likes of a Schussel, Gray, Mietzenhiemer et al group. Vallejo's rep for having clueless wannabes (see above partial list) is a reason "experience" is reluctant to apply.

excellent. now if we can just get the city manager to give us a detailed account of how many are available, what category etc.
he cannot keep us all in the dark because he has a beef with sam kurshan. this baloney of "going well" with regard to recruiting is a matter of interpretation. i don't think a derth of experienced interest equals "going well". we will need a lot of experience to train the entry levels, they won't train themselves.

all your pals on council said YES to affordable housing program expansion, they will say YES again, and again, yet you will all cry about why the city is so screwed up, trashy, and crime ridden. oh yeah, it's the police.

2 points. 1. I have no "PALS" on the council. 2. What the f#$% does anything you said have to do with anything I said? You should run along, the short bus is leaving. I just hope the next time you call VPD for help you get the same treatment as the guy in the video. Oh and Sam, if it wasn't for handouts you would have been sleeping under the bridge for years now.

You are slow aren't you? Too bad typing slower still wouldn't help your reading comprehension. Repeat 4th grade then try and answer my question. Maybe you should watch the video as well numbnuts. The cops were there because this guy was the victim of a crime. I am glad you are so confident you never will be. Ignorance IS bliss I guess.

FOTFLMAO!!! the city manager has a "beef" with sammy? don't flatter him. the only time keen even realizes that sammy exists is when sammy goes to the podium to rant for 3 minutes. otherwise, sammy is a nonentity.
