Sixth defendant in Richmond rape case facing lesser penalties

Charges for a Richmond man connected to the gang rape of a Richmond High School student outside a homecoming dance indicate his alleged involvement differed from five other defendants facing stiffer punishment, though prosecutors are not saying how.

Guys are the problem, when did it get normal to have sex with 6 guys??? at 15 years old ? they have to get their mind fixed. That girl was so much younger then them. As respectfull men, they should have protected her from arm not taking an opportunity to unload!

Good point. The poster DOES seem like the kind of guy who would watch and not help (and enjoy the experience). I wonder what sort of values he imparts to his children? Tragic that someone even entertains the notion that violent crime is excusable based on another person's innocence. The girl is innocent of wrongdoing even if (and I don't know this to be true) she used poor judgment to put herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. If a girl shows up naked and drunk it is STILL a crime to sexually assault her. The idea that 'she asked for it' is just so dumb it is hard to believe anyone thinks that way. Boys will be boys does not mean boys must break the law and God's commandments!!

They guys who took part in raping and beating this poor girl deserve to die period. The onlookers who took pictures or taped it deserve prison. The ones who did nothing but watched deserve to get their asses kicked. I wish it could be like the movie "The Crow" where some avenging angel could make all these animals feel all the pain that girl suffered. You never know he just might be out there.

I'm not defending those rotten scumbag rapists at all but rape is not a capital offense, even when it's a gang rape. In California it's even hard to get a death sentence for a serial killer!(Charlie Manson is still alive!!!). LONG prison terms, maybe even life without the possibility of life without the possibility of parole, is a strong probability though and like other people have said these dirty c***suckers are going to learn what it's like to be on the other end of gang rape and maybe that's even more apprppirate than death (except that us taxpayers have to support the dirty little pricks!)/ As far as any "avenging angel" being out there...that's about as realistic is thinking there really is a tooth fairy!

I thinh that there is no one to blame in this situation because everybody including the "rape girl" were drunk, yes they all need to be punish in a certain way including the rape "victim" she was no angel either, she chose to drink with people she did,t know very well, and how about the parents? what is their responsability? and if you want to put in jail these boys for the rest of their life, then they should put almost half of san pablo and richmond in jail as well just check the "Megans law" page and check for rapist that live freely near schools in this areas....we all need to be involve in the education of our youth..and let them know that it is o.k to help other people and that violence will not be accepted at any time and againts no one.

This was at a Homecoming dance on school property. Of course young people tend to congregate in groups and even though we may not like it they do sometimes drink in these congregations ). She apparently did know several of the participants. Her parents probably rightly assumed she would be safe under the circumstances (school dance on school poroperty). The victim certainly had a right to be safe and a right not to be raped repeatedly by a bunch of savage thugs just because she was drinking with them!

No not HALF of San Pablo and RIchmond are child molesters not that I'm defending those pricks! It's only a very small percentage and If these scumbags get caught being involved in any unlawful activities they deserve to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law just as these turds with legs punks do.

You are a stupid ass. She's 15 for crying aloud. What poor decisions and mistakes did you make at 15? She was outside of her high school! NOTHING can or will justify what atrocities happened to her by a bunch of monsters with evil in their hearts. She was innocent and not that different from probably 80% of girls her age.
