Is the ER allowed to keep statistics on who the the uninsured are so that the problem can be properly addressed?

that would be a racist thing to do!!!! lmao!!
but bottom line, i'll bet that most of the patients are illegals. cut them off from benefits and we can keep hospitals open and schools will continue to educate at higher levels instead of dumbing down our students so the illegals can catch up.

As a beginning baby boomer, 1946, I am alarmed we could possibly be in this state that we need to wonder if our Emergency Rooms are necessary. We are working harder to live longer, only to die in route to another hospital that is far from our homes?
I had the chance to enjoy the wonderful concern and care of the Dr.'s ER staff last year. Always before we went to Pinole Campus, but since that fantastic center was shut down in the past I had fears of waiting for hours and being ignored which was pleasantly not the case. The staff was top notch. I cannot understand what has happened. There should be a huge outcry from the community but maybe like myself, we do not know what to do or where to go. Please know we are behind you and let us know how we can help. Phone calls? Letters? and where to.
I searched for imformation and came up with this site. Please let us help you, help us!!!!

I continue to watch the news, read and listen to everything I can. But not once has anyone looked at this aging hospital in a logical reasonable way. When Tenet was running the place it became obvious the facility could not generate a profit. Plus if someone would perform an honest investigation on Hospital beds in the area. I believe they would find plenty beds. Doctors Hospital is not needed. When the District ran the champaign for the proposition B, they did not tell the truth about needs, it was all about how to get money without having to work for it. Ask Irwin how much they paid a company to come and sell this idea to the public. It was a shame and the District shoul;d be ashamed. All to continue to pay unqualified managers and low quality staff. And if you really want to examine this deeper, lets not forget the earthquake retrofit mandate. What you do then? Build a new hospital that can not make a profit. Stop wasting money, and let the Casino have their parking lot.

No....not illegals, just no insurance or medi-cal, and guess what.....Medi-cal isn't paying!!!!! The hospital needs to be there. The ER is awesome.
