Southern California? 79° Five degrees below July normal? The US Weather Bureau report for July 1948 shows that the average temperature in LA was 71°, San Diego 67° with extreme lows of 55°.

Meanwhile Al Gore is nowhere to be found...

BTW - In the second to last paragraph you write: "...September and October, two months in which we typically experience waves of above-normal temperatures..." - if something happens typically it is normal - it can't be above, below or anything other than normal. Thus, it's normal for the weather to fluctuate - right Al?

You should have said "above average"....no biggie though, I'm sure most people are as confused as they were when Inconvenient Lies opened amid a summer cold wave....

You must remember that you are on a 17 year cycle like the old almanacs said. How devestating the food shortage shall be. All those wonedrful Obama predictions which are like all else Obama's people produce. Not something very useful. Stick with your almanaics.

Everytime the temp drops below 75, you idiots think it meams there is no global warming. You continue to get youre science questioned by your polticial talking heads and ignore the science and the research. You have no idea how stupid you sound.

Lets go back to 1999 here in Whittier. Times where much different back then. At that time the economy while not as good as 1997 was still fairly decent. At that time many workers in industrial jobs first starting to learn about the pains of outsourcing.

A summer much like this one. It started out being very cool with temperatures well below average. It stayed cool all the way tell September. From September 29th- October 31st it turned into one of the hottest months for the entire year.

Whittier hit around 105 degrees on September 29th one of the hottest days ever recorded so late in the season.

In October 12 days of 90+ degree temperatures.

We had 12 days of 80+ degree temperatures.

Then on October 17th heat and humidity can into Orange and San Diego county with isolated morning showers/thunderstorms with most of them dieing before hitting north orange county and southern la county.

The point being that late season blast of summer can take place in early fall so I would not let your guard down quite yet.

You are so right. I figure the heat is just waiting for the kids to go back to school.

Have anyone thought that the pole is shifting--afterall in 2012, there's suppose to be a pole reversal of the earth where the north becomes south and the south becomes north. Perhaps, we are heading north in time for this pole shift.

Will that mean that time will actually reverse and go backwards? So cool!

Good work, my little mindless minion... er, soldier. Now, to prove my theory that it's getting colder because it's getting warmer, I want you to post a video on youtube of you cranking your oven to 450 and sticking a klondike bar in there for one hour. Hoooo Doggies, the shock of these deniers will be palpable when that ice cream bar comes out colder than when it went in.

Now send me some dough for the idea.

Southern California is not in the southern hemisphere. Was this written by a 2 year old? This country is doomed. Thank God for the Mexicans!
