The quote we have received is from $1,500 to $2,350. And yes we are very upset about it. Not sure where the money will come from.

You'll wonder more when the flood comes and washes away what you have. Then you'll be pissed that no one told you and you'll have your hand out wanting the government to "fix" it by rebuilding your house. It never fails. Maps come out, people bitch, it doesn't flood here. Flood comes, people bitch, no one told us. No assistance comes, people bitch because we were to shortsighted to insure our property.

Very unfair on flood area. We live backed up to San Lorenzo creek. San Leandro side is not included as being in flood zone.City made a stink and "pull" and had them taken off the roll. 2 doors away from us still backed up to creek they are not included in flood zone. Another area flood zone shown and an island of 1 house is excluded.
Flood waters if ever are only going to San Lorenzo side and going around house excluded, and going to disapear at the end of homes not included. Us being county not city have no one to fight for us. 1st study showed we were not in zone. Now suddenly we are.

My house backs up to the creek and in all the years I have lived here the creek has never gotten to the top or even close. The creek is built up with cement over 20 feet tall on each side. what a joke to think that we are going to flood. In speaking with my neighbors that haved lived here much longer than us, the creek has never flooded. So I would love to know who the brainiac is that dedided now the San Lorenzo Creek is going to flood.
