I've been out of the country since the week after Ike. Thank you ever so much for your response.
I hope all of your family came through OK.

I live in San Leon, and I just got back from taking a drive through the area. Most of the homes got water in them, but are still standing. There is so much debris on the roads from all of the carpet and household items that people lost from flooding but the higher number streets between 517 and Bayshore look like they only got water damage. The further you get to the water, the more you see the devastation. There are homes that are no longer there all you will find is pilons sticking up out of the ground or what looks like a pile of toothpicks for some houses that were lower to the ground.
