Pits are great LOOKING dogs!! I just would not own one for fear of lawsuit.

The owner asked for evidence of the pit hurting anyone, here's the evidence. It looked at the officer in a crosseyed way. That's all it takes so shut the hell up and guard your dog, IDIOT!!!

Here's the moral of the story: keep your dog contained! A screen door does not work (obviously)- a metal security screen would have.
"He won't bite" is what every dog owner says. Yes, mostly true - he won't bite YOU. But dogs do what they do - they protect. If they are loose, they don't know that - they are still protecting that area as if it were their home.

Lidia is an idiot! She wonders why they shot the sweet killer dog. She's lucky the cops didn't shoot her dumb-@$$ for saying the stupidest thing written in the paper in a long time. Sheesh!! Some insurance companies won't insure houses that have pits, rotweillers, and chows because they are so prone to violent attacks.

This was a big ole Pit. if you can not keep him in the house you should not have one. to the perez's your lack of caring about your animal and not being able to control it ended in its death. he may have been nice when his owners are around but with out them around these animals become DANGEROUS !

I'm an animal lover, and a dog owner, but have a little common sense in your gift giving. I don't particularly dislike pit bulls, but they are what they are; they're weapons. Maybe for the child's next birthday, they might find it suitable to give them a loaded 12 gauge. I mean really, "honey, just don't pull the trigger and you'll have fun".
As for the police. You counter weapons with weapons. Just hope the kid doesn't get that shotgun next year.

What do you think you are getting in your burrito's and taco's from all the taco trucks in ValleyJoe. Heres a new Vallejo book title...Paddle Wheelers to Nuclear Power to Home of the Taco Truck. A great historical town going bankrupt. Good job of governing folks, going down hill since 1956!

Idiotic owners. I've owned two pit-boxer mixes, and while mine were/are great dogs, I would be extremely concerned if I saw one off leash in this manner. Pits CAN be used as weapons, they are bred to look the way they do and CAN act with the characteristics the way they have been bred to act, but it doesn't mean they ARE weapons or WILL act. The last male I had was a wonderful dog and was awesome with kids and raised around them since he was 8 weeks old. That said - if someone were to enter my yard he would definitely defend them but he never seeked or showed aggression to anybody that was undeserved (unscrupulous individuals I've observed on the other side of the fence are another story).

But with Pit or any mix thereof, you need a sense of responsibility and liability - you need to know the breed and know the characteristics to look out for when training them (I'm sure all owners train their dogs...:P...) A pit bull is not a gift for a child nor should you buy one "because they look good." I got mine because I love the temperment and loyalty to the family but I would never adopt one that was more than 6 months old because of the pre-conception of how badly they might have been treated or (lack of) efforts to suppress aggression.

You need to secure your home so that escape through a screen in this case. Same situation occurred to a family member of mine where a rottweiler ran through a screen door, out the front yard (no fence) to attack the two dogs she was walking.

Like I mentioned, I love 'em, but I Wouldn't trust any pit that I didn't know, or more importantly, didn't know me.

I think this is the brother of Jesse Perez ,and I think they were both living on Lewis street awhile back when Andrew Jacla was found dead in their back yard. Jesse and another maggot were taken into custody after a stand off and the other maggot is being charged with Jacla's murder, although word on the street is Jesse really is the one that did it. Jesse is in the County jail for getting caught in the act coming out of a Benicia home with the stolen goods in his hands and a U-haul parked right in front, then the cops found more stolen goods at the Lewis St. house that Eli and Jesse shared. Perez Bros ? Nothing but very stupid garbage !!

Yeah, You are right, except they were living on Taylor street, near Benicia Rd, when it happened. In addition to those two worms, 6 other men & 1 woman was involved in his murder. Andrew was sat up for a slaughter. They are gargage.
