Can it not be both interesting, and problematic? Like serial killers, high fructose corn syrup, and agnosia, crazy cults can be both a problem to be dealt with by or for the immediately affected, and a point of interest for outsiders. Anyway, whining and freaking out on the Topix.com forum for Weslaco, Texas isn't going to get anything done.

I find it amusing that "Weslaco" is "Waco" with some extra letters in there.

so hey guys i lived in weslaco as a kid and me and my sister would always hear rumors about that place. we would always pass by and stare at the house and at the gate because we always thought it was so bizarre because we have never seen anyone go in or go out. we always thought that aliens lived there or it was some type of government secret, maybe that they were hiding aliens in there or maybe even smuggling aliens i wonder if those people who live there have any groceries or if the eat. anyway me and my sister passed by there today with our nieces and nephews and we decided to google it on the phone and we read about the story. its super awesome that that place is there. so if they ever come to rescue the human race i know where to go.
Hi Angela I too used pass by as a kid with my brothers and sisters and look through the gates. I have seen them I recall an elderly white man with a long white beard wearing blue jean overalls and I remember seeing a woman in a long dress to her ankles with her long blond hair in a bun. I also remember the young girls they all had long straight blond hair to their kness, they too always wore dresses to their ankles. I used to see them at shopping at Wal-Mart but that was like 20 yrs ago. They were very quiet and kept to themselves.

Well I'm still young only 12 going to 13 but I've always passed by that house and would always stare at it idk why but would.I've only seen a white man with a white shirt and I think glasses he was cutting the grass inside and another time was when a red car was entering the gate or already entered. Yup.but I hear they belive in aliens and they have this A.T.A Base sign and so many foils and cloths on their windows but why? But everyone says never get near the gate or they say the people inside will kill you or in-slave you.

i've never known about any of these "CULTS" but i've always wondered why that place is always so closed off. i never knew that after my grandfather tried to buy off their property for walmart that they were so into having that "ark" that they tried to kill him, twice as a matter of fact. the man who tried to kill him was Mark Alan Lingenfelters, and they have a large history of anti government affiliations, as shown by Merlon Jr. Lingenfelters. apparently Orville T. Nodrog was actually gordon, weird why he would change his name to nodrog. and many elderly people do remember his name being such, and that he did sell space for his UFO. strongly potrayed as a looney in our town, he would later go on to establish a large UFO cult. i barely have been researching alot of this information and the only conclusion is to visit the place myself to get answers.
Was your grandfather the mayor? because I heard this happened to the mayor.

The old man is probably dead by now, unless he's pushing 100. My cousin had met him once. The old man sold tickets to seats on the mothership at a flea market. I have only seen those mysterious gates open a handful of times, and I've lived here almost all my life. I think I saw an old fashioned car, something, big, chrome and yellow. Now they leave by a rear entrance. The city and Wal-Mart have chipped away at their property, but it is STILL there with the triangular warning at the gates.

You are right I should get off of this topic. Iam sure you have a personal worry about this topic, good luck with your personal problem. I still think what i wrote is still a big mess. but then what do I KNOW, YOU ARE MORE IMPORTANT, AND i AM just a jerk. I am sure the family`s of the 39,000 dead think their loss is important to.
Why would deaths in Mexico be a concern? Not our country, not our problem. Their government is corrupt, and they're the casualties. If you are so concerned, maybe you should move there. I am sure their government officials and law enforcement will listen to you for 2 seconds - before putting a bullet in your head.

I received a postcard from this place back in may 2016. I cannot find anyone who has one or any photo of it on the internet. I live far north of Texas and still have the postcard. None of my neighbors received it and I still to this day cannot find any information on it.

We just got one too, and we live in Southern Minnesota! Odd part, other than the extreme lack of internet info or contact info, is we are observers of astronomy here. We keep to ourselves and set up telescopes in the countryside off field roads completely alone. So why us? Why no one else around us? We have reports that were sent in to Mufon a few times from our observations. Possibly from that? Did you ever learn more?

Yeah, I live in Minnesota, too; some stupid hoser insulted my mail box with this moronic post card today. GEEZ LOUISE! REALLY?! God save us from such nonsense. No greater offense can be offered, no greater sin can be committed by humans, than to presume that one knows the will of God. History has proven, over and over again, the maleficent intentions of false prophets. How offensive it is for cults to select and twist the meaning of Bible quotes! Anyone who is gullible enough to find this "interesting" and "enlightening" deserves his/her all-too-predictable fate. Get a life!
