Another lawsuit against the cult of scientology. It just keeps-a-comin'. Human rights violations and culture of intolerance. Sounds like the CofS to me.

Scientology simply cannot get a reprieve from the bad press.
|

What? Scientology using homophobic taunts and denying people the right to leave?
Oh I HIGHLY doubt that! . . . /sarcasm |
||||
|
Oh and denying proper medical care?
Preposterous! (We could do this all day.) |

Fanstastic links, Polly, as always.
"After investigating Narconon, I discovered that we don't have a process for reviewing curriculum from outside vendors,'' a dismayed Ackerman said. "We've put in place a review process (to) catch potential problems." Love it. The article basically shows that scientology and narconon are so sure of their "science" that they'll change it when people complain. Now call me a boring old traditionalist, but aren't your theories only supposed to change when evidence and research show it to be wrong? Doesn't seem very scientific of scientology to me. Saying that, biology and chemistry have shown scientology to be wrong numerous times but they haven't changed at all. So how come a complaint changed them? Still doesn't seem very scientific to me. Infact I'd say these were the actions of a scam, not a science. |

2 There has been an amicable resolution of any dispute that we had with Narconon. The lawsuit we filed is being dismissed. The matter is considered by all parties fully closed. Sarah and Daniel Locatelli |

Have you made the same request/demand to Indybay.com ? Also, anyone can claim to be someone else to try perpetuate the lies NarCONon/scientology tell. IF that was the case indeed, then the case would be 'withdrawn' and not "dismissed" as you state. UIm wondering if you(if you whom you claim to be)have been sent to websites by the4 cult of scientology as part of the "amicable resolution" you claim That may well be, but it doesnt change the track record of NarCONon being a rip off at best, and a total soul desyroyer at worst. After all, youre not the first victims of scientology's scam called narCONon http://www.narcononvictims.com/index.php... http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Stop-Narconon/Pers... http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Narconon/ The IndyBay report wont be removed, IMHO. People have a right to know that narCONon has hurt so many people. You may have got an "amicable resolution"(if in fact you are whom you claim to be), and the cult may have demanded you gome to places they sent you to try rewrite history, but it doesnt change what narCONon is. http://www.ripoffreport.com/Search/Company/Na... |

1 We don't do that. You can get a lot of money from the Church of Scientology to give up your lawsuit -- but you cannot erase history. |

Don't you think that "you" might want to discuss this alleged settlement with "your husband" BEFORE discussing it with strangers on an internet forum (one of dozens where this story appeared by the way)? After all, he was posting on another site just four days ago that there still was no refund in the offing: http://www.ripoffreport.com/Cult-organization... I would imagine that if this case were, "amicably settled", as "you" claim, the numerous broadsides posted about this story by both "you" and "your husband" on this other site would have been a much higher priority to make go away than a blurb on a news referral site like Topix. Then of course there are the numerous references to "your" story that I've seen this morning on any number of anti-Scientology blogs and websites. An "amicable settlement" would be of far more interest to them than readers here. "You" also might consider contacting the Superior Court for the County of Nevada, they haven't gotten wind of "your" "amicable settlement" either. Gee, now that I think about it, I get the rather odd feeling that "you" were doing nothing but lying through your teeth... |

1 "Dismissed" or not, it doesn't change the fact that Narconon is a duplicitous and abusive front group for $cientology. |

And another attempt by the cult of Scientology to hide the activities of their cover group, Narconon.
Instead of trying this tactic, why not get someone famous to tell everyone the 'advantages' of Narconon and their treatment, backed up with 3rd party evidence from scientific sources, your cult would be on to a winner |

so, a man is put into the program by his female financee
and they gay-bashed him? seems a weird method to stop someone's drug use. when I did the CoS personality test, they also offered to cure me of being a lesbian I easily declined their offer |
||||
They're trying to run the price up by offering additional "services" They get really big bucks for their scams and it is all absolutely tax free because they call it a "church ministry" We pay inflated taxes to subsidize these "church ministry" rip offs; and we're not even church members. Somethings gotta give |
||||
sure, diversifying services - good business sense CoS is also your bank, so they cut out the whole collection plate thing and just take it from your account but churches shouldn't be tax exempt and since they have all done political lobbying, should lose their charity status too cities could use the property tax revenue and the feds the income revenue |

1 It think they ought to take away the church's tax exempt status and give gay people the tax exempt status until we achieve Civil Rights Equality. |

1 yeah, it funny to me that governments are bending over to apologise and make reparations for historical wrongs against this or that group all the while, oppressing gays/lesbians/trans/bi people right now as if they have to set up the gov't of 50 years from now to do the same for LGBTs in the future |
