that is great. that is really great. (christian bale's expression in that one scene from that movie with mark wahlberg thats coming out, fighter. when he has one elbow on the wall. and he has a big smile on his face and he's skinny. but at the same time his big smile makes him look sort of goofy)

Detractors argue that more time and testing is needed on water conservation and reclamation before any decision is made about desalination. Those worthy efforts will not be abandoned. But there is no question that desalination's time has come.

Funny, it doesn't seem to have hurt the marine environment on / around Catalina....Tampa.....Carlsbad ...Perth...Aruba....
Sydney...Thames....El Paso...Trinidad....Tobago...

We need potable water. Can't LIVE without it.

This will work and technology will continue to improve the process.

Awwwww, what happened Mr. Light and Mr. Brand? No more posts? No more whining about Measure G? The people of the city have spoken and they are tired of the city not progressing forward. Aside from seeing progression in Redondo, it was more entertaining to know that Light and Brand got their arses handed to them!

I would not call 5% a mandate from the residents on
their overwhelming trust in the city council Stevie.
People are hurting in this economy and that seems
to be the final factor in some on the fence votes
going for the measure according to an unofficial
poll and not the sales job by the mothers "chamber"
and the lease holders. When the plans for the RB Shade come in the supporters will see what they got
for their yes vote! Don't be too upset when it looks
nothing like what was built in MB (open space, height,
scale).

Gee more revisionist history in the making? Funny coming from the person that DID NOT
want the people to vote and have their voice heard!

I suppose some did not think fire was a good idea, or the light bulb. Fact: there is not enough water in some places. Fact: a nuclear sub makes its own pure water for long periods of time. This is an idea that is long overdue and the carping of stupid people should not slow it.

We need to find out who dumped all of that salt into the oceans in the first place. Everything was going fine, the oceans of the world were fresh water, and no one went thirsty. Then along came some wise guy who dumped a LOT of salt into them and ruined eveything. At least make him pay for the cleanup.
