This is the key.

from the article:

In sending the case back to Superior Court, however, the justices supported some parts of the U.S. Episcopal Church's case, according to a news release from the church. In particular, the justices ruled that the continuity of the diocese is a matter regulated by church law.

I have no doubt that all of this will one day be resolved by the US Supreme Court.

Dear TA,
You are full of baloney!

Why don't you list all of the acts of mutual gratification that a married couple is allowed to engage in that would be considered sodomy, expert that you are in these matters.

Never mind, TA. You can't do it. Besides, what goes on in the bedroom is nobody's business except the couple in the bedroom (or any other place of privacy that suits them).

You are sick, TA.

You promote and encourage sexual perversions and *he* is the one that is sick.

It'd be funny if it you weren't serious.

No. You are absolutely right, Wot. I am totally serious and it might be funny if it weren't a matter of such absolutely personal intimacy.

I do not promote sexual perversions in any way. But, that is simply because such calls are a matter of adult judgment and behavior. I very firmly support the right of privacy of a couple in their sex lives. Its none of your or my business - none at all.

There are sexual addictions. There are obsessive-compulsive behaviors. There are unnatural attractions, same-sex attractions and intimacy between consenting humans not included, which can very definitely be classified as perverse behavior - sick behavior. Ask any psychiatrist or refer to any standard of acceptability for intimate behavior between consenting adults.

However, intimate consensual sexual behavior between two adult people, whether heterosexual or homosexual, can be expressed or conducted in many different acts, forms and practices, all of which are consensual and are the business of those couples and nobody else's. What may or may not be called sodomy is a subjective standard.

Likewise, obsession with the determination of whether or not any such behavior is actually sodomy by definition or whether or not such intimate consensual behavior is wicked or sinful by definition is also a sickness. The obsession is a sickness.

I said that TA is sick for attempting to criticize anyone for what he believes to be sodomy. I meant it. You also are sick in this department. Since I already know that TA cannot describe all of the acts that a couple can engage in that could be called sodomy, how about you taking a crack at it?

No. I take it back. Forget it, Wot. You can't do it either.

All you can do is refer to what you claim to be "perverse." And that is simply a matter of your own sexual boundaries. You establish them. You keep them. Such a definition of any acts as sinful or perverse is strictly subjective to you and your mate. These intimate acts are nobody's business but yours and your wife or mate, whoever that is.

Here is just a small sample of the sick, perverted things you and your "church" support.

"A three hour public orgy of simulated sex acts, advertised gay bars, pornography vendors, male prostitution businesses with handouts to parade spectators that included condoms, sexual lubricant samples, and literature promoting a pornographic web site, were part of San Francisco's gay pride parade day that included a flotilla from the Episcopal Diocese of California and Bishop Marc Andrus.

The Episcopal Community Services, part of Andrus's diocese, solicited volunteers to work at the Folsom Street sado-masochist fair, VOL was told.

They were one of the groups that benefited from this blasphemous sex orgy. The poster was a mockery of the Last Supper. Andrus is chairman of the board of ECS."

Yes, but then why do Bishops Robinson and Glasspool -- with the official backing of TEC -- make it our business?

One doesn't have to be a voyeur to see the perversion that you and TEC promote. It is well documented. Just click on the link above.

These idol worshipers are truly twisted people.

The very idea that Think Again can justify stealing and attempt to turn the topic to SEX shows just exactly what 'twisted' means in practice.

The first biblical reference to Thing Again and his kind.

Genesis 3: 1-5

The Fall

1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman,“Did God really say,‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent,“We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,

3 but God did say,‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.

5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

No it shows the hypocrisy in the Episcopal cult where you are willing to affirm and celebrate one sin and not another. Sin is sin and you and TEC don't get to vote or decide on the matter.

A man shouldn't lie with a man as one does with a woman. There is nothing subjective about that. Neither shold women exchange natural relations with men for same sex relations. There is nothing "subjective" about that either.

Sex outside of mariage between a man and a woman is sin.

Not to mention the hypocrisy of McLoon in continuing to quote the Bible she accuses others of "worshiping".

Maybe it should be renamed "The Hypocopal Church".

Wrong, Wot.

I suggested that you should try to define sodomy (the term TA attempted to lay on MiddleWay as something that MiddleWay advocates - which he does not.) in terms of consensual acts between adults - specifically a married couple.

This you cannot do, not because of any fault or shortcoming on your part. But, because such definitions are completely subjective and are a matter of personal discretion. You have nothing to say about it that matters.

LOL - You just hate the fact that I know it more fully then you do.

I refuse to worship it. I will leave you and Think Again and your other pagan friends the comfort you find in placing a material object in the place of God.

The Book Without Error (New Testament) is a dark window in which we have a very small vision of what the thinking of the early church was on a few selected items. Many of the opinions were suppressed in later ages by concepts found in the ever victorious Hellenistic Greek and Roman cultures.

Since you are a practicing pagan, I wonder if you find comfort knowing that it was pagan thought that so dramatically influenced the church fathers? Where would they be without Plato and Aristotle?

You see scripture as a dark window providing a small vision on a few selected items.

That is not what it looks like when illuminated by the Holy Spirit who inspired it.
