I was thinking that THIS was supposed to be one of Hemet's finer neighborhoods , jeeeeeeeez looize is this what the planners had in mind ? I went thru there on saturday to a garage sale I saw listed on craigslist, what a disaster !! do they NOT have an HOA ? I saw the same thing at four seasons awhile back, houses already in disrepair, lawns, or what were once lawns, that haven't been watered in months, hell even the weeds are dying off. Shoulda left it ALL as farmland !! at least us farmers took SOME pride in our fields ! and NO, I did not, will NOT sell off to the developers, if YOU wanted city living ya shoulda STAYED in "the city"

It's probably due to Section 8 and the influx of people who came from Los Angeles. That place is know as the 'gated ghetto' because of the huge spike of crime within the community and the surrounding businesses. It's sad because it is/was such a beautiful development.

Have you noticed all these for rent signs from the same Rental company (I think its Inland Properties or something like that) These a-holes bought a large amount of the houses during the rescission (cheap) and now are renting them out all over Hemet and San Jacinto. The problem is that they get sec 8 renters or ghetto scum to rent these houses and they rent them out with no lawn (dirt), weeds, oil on the drive way, over grown trees, etc.. etc.. And the people (ghetto) moving in are not going to do anything to make this house look nicer. Therefore you have all these houses that are run down eyesores but are being rented out by this same company. They need to investigate this company and its owner to make him responsible for renting to drug dealers, lowlifes, and criminals. They just don't care!!

I don't know about the company, but from what I have read about the rentals in Hemet (and lots of other places) are that the owners are foreign and live out of the country.

The Name of the company destroying Hemet and San Jacinto is IE Rentals. They dont fix up the properties and they don't care who they rent to.

WillowWalk should never have been built in the first place. If you remember that community was built like in 2 years and all homes were sold under that what I refer to as a ski high mortgage...one where people walked away . Then investors swooped in and bought them AT auction for pennies.
There is NO cops, there is NO HOA, it is a community that just exists ...of LOW income housing, with HUGE homes.
SO then YOU ask yourself if there is so much crime in there, and the CITY knows this Investor/rental agency why NOT make them responsible for cleaning WillowWalk up???
I am sorry people , it is OUR fault , this is OUR city and we are NOT making the people who run our cities in the valley accountable.

Pretty_Poison nailed it. Some are still claiming that we bring people here from L.A. or they are sent from prison directly to here. Such bull. The other misconception is that all these rentals are Section 8 certificates. I have been on section 8 since 1986 here. Are you mad at me? Do I lower your standards of living? I am a C-5 Quadriplegic. never arrested nor a ticket. Never had a complaint from neighbors. don't do drugs. Do you know how much you have to go through to stay on Section 8? a lot! inspections, paperwork galore. so many rules and if you break any of them you are gone. <-- that's a period. People move in from all over just like any other town. Yes, Things have gotten worse here and it's on all of us. Watch over your neighbors good and bad. Watch over your properties and your neighbors property. Stop letting bad things go unreported. Police are there, use them. stop complaining and step up already.

WillowWalk was a cool development at the start. Alot of orange county and san diego county families moved in. Alot of us were jealous of it. They surrounded themselves and their community and looked down on Hemet as a hole (craphole). But the recession hit and since it was a new development made up of mostly those two counties and a few from the area that streached themselves to the limit to live there, it was the hardest hit with forclosures. Blight hit that community hard. The Wallfart built right outside didn't help at all.
McSweeny Ranch got hit hard too, but before the community was built. Just the clubhouse and aminities. They can continue to build. But, WillowWalk? That's going to be hard to repair that community.
Mayberry too. The homes were too big. When they started to go into forclosure they appealed to multipal families to fill their 6+ bedrooms. Two plus ghetto families in one home? Do the math.
Just a loose loose plan from the git-go.

Your anger should not be directed towards Pretty Poison, but those who abuse the system. They are giving people like you a bad rep.
