It's just like the politicians pandering for their vote. Ignore the fact they are illegal. I wonder if the criminals being deported also get the care package?

This reminds me of those noble Germans who during the Nazi occupation of Germany that hid, sheltered, and provided for those poor Jews from being persecuted.
May the Lord keep blessing this wonderful Church.

And to keep the church and state seperate :")

Ha! Not even the same. The illegals are being given welfare, free education, free medical--how is that even comparable?

My girlfriend and I use to get help with food and utilities from the local catholic church. The church will help if one cannot provide for themselves.

You cant put a price tag on the injustices and atrocities.

Other than the church and state comment my statement wasn't political but rather an act of social justice that every good Christian should practice regardless of ones citizenship status.

If you have a problem about where your tax dollars are going then take it up with the establishment not the victims.

Personally speaking ,most pay taxes and contribute to this economy more then they take,to me that makes a person a citizen.

Also its a mandate of my religeous liberty to feed ,educate, and clothe the poor..so I'm fine about where my money is going for that cause.

"Victims?" If they are illegal they came here on their own accord.
If you have a problem with the current laws--then maybe you ought to take it up with the establishment--not the victims, which in this case is the good tax paying citizen. I don't need a mandate or a religion to tell me my civic duty. However, it should be MY choice.

Illegal aliens being here of their own freewill and then deported out of our country back to their own countries has absolutely no reltion to nor similarities to Jewish (and others) people "trapped" in their countries (in which they resided, legally), placed in camps, denegraded and murdered!! Shame on you for even stating such a pompous load of crap!! The same non-similarities apply to illegals being here of their own free will and American slaves in our history (you people have also tried to make these connections to no avail).

You people are something else. Shameful. Deport illegals now!!!

If one receives assistance through Catholic Charities then one, quite possibly, receives public aide and runs out on emergency room care. If one can't provide for themselves then one should return to//or should be deported back to his/her own countries as he/she is a public charge and an accumulative drain on our nation.

No, mistake, the Native Americans were here first.Mexico wasn't even a country then. Had the Spanish not dragged them over the border as workers or slaves. They would have never got settled this side of the border. The N/A kept them out of their territories. They were no more wanted then, than they are now.

You can, however, put a price tag on it when so many illegals are getting this aide that poor American citizens either have their aide cut or they can't receive assistance - taking food of the tables of Americans.

I'm not sure where you live but here, in CA, illegals take waaaayyyy more out of our system than they ever put back...then, to top it all off, most of them file and receive fraudulent tax returns for thousands of dollars!!

God tells us to pay to Cesar that which is due and to obey the laws of the land. Feeding illegals, ok, but to harbor them not only violates our nation's laws but too the laws of God.

Whatever, take your head out of the sand, see things how they really are ((Ammericans are suffering and your catholic church reaches out to illegals and not Americans! Whatever happened to taking care of home first??)).
