Jury reaches verdict in Montebello slaying of father and son

Jurors reached a verdict Thursday in the trial of a 17- year-old Montebello boy accused of fatally shooting a man and his 12-year-old son during a high school graduation party.

The statement made by the attorney was clear, concise, and in common vernacular so it is easily understood.

When the lawyer says "witnesses didn't pick anybody" she is undoubtedly referring to either a live line-up or a photo line-up (a.k.a. "6-pack") where a witness is asked to look at various people or photos and then "pick" the perpetrator out of the bunch.

So, in your opinion, what would have been the appropriate way to phrase that statement?

Funny, I focused on that statement also. Perhaps, the witnesses didn't pick anyone is because they are scared spitless.

Even if Angel wasn't the shooter and it was his cousin Joe, he went and got Joe and a posse and went back to the party. Where an innocent CHILD and his father were killed. They were trying to get into the party but were turn away. An argument ensure and they return to shoot up the place. Either way, father and son were kill for no apparent reason than to celebrate a graduation.

Justice was not served today..a killer was let loose..as for him being a great kid..that is b/s.
When he was arrested for this murder he was already in juvenile hall for breaking and entering. His family is nothing but gang bangers that intimidated some of the witnesses. His family has no idea what it is like to lose a 12 year boy and his father. They don't feel sorry for us, because in court everyday they would try and do stuff to get us thrown out of court..Remember Sosa family when your great-grandmother was thrown out of court by the judge for flashing signs at a witness and when his grandmother's phone was taken by the deputies for attempting to take pictures of one of the witnesses.

This family is nothing but generations after generations of gang bangers. These people could careless about us..but I truly believe that one day Angel will meet his maker and will be held accountable for his actions, if Marcus and Roman (Southside Montebello) don't get to him first..

The Garcia family held their heads high when leaving the courthouse, as we will continue to do.

Montebello residents beware there is a killer back on the streets and he will do it again..

If you're part of a group that came back and shot up the place, wouldn't that make you just as guilty. Two lives were lost over BS and killer gets to walk away free.
