May he rest in peace. Lord knows folks feel like ending it these days.

I think we might see more of this if the economy continues to spiral downward.

Why was it necessary to add "while police officers stood by"? It makes this very scant piece of news bias. It's very difficult to stop someone who is intent on killing themselves. Could they have done something? I don't know, this article doesn't report how long this man teetered on the edge after the police arrived. It doesn't say if they tried to discourage him. It doesn't even say that they encouraged him. It just says they "stood by" as though no one did anything.

If they times of this incident are correct, they recovered his body two minutes after someone called the police. Doesn't appear that anyone had anytime to intervene.

But your shoddy reporting once again slants toward anti-cop attitude. They just "stood by" and didn't do anything is the message.

Waitaminute... doesn't the phrase "as officers stood by" indicate that there's not much someone can do when someone is hanging off the edge of the vincent thomas bridge, intent on killing themselves, which is what you just said? What are the police supposed to do? Call Spiderman?

Why yes, calling up Spiderman, that's a great idea! Or maybe we could even call up Brendan Frasier. Didja see him swinging on the Golden Gate Bridge to save the paraglider on "George of the Jungle"? One of the great cinematic moments...oh wait, isn't this a serious situation? Sorry, lost myself in the superhero moment.

A man just took his own life and "oh please" feels the need to berate someone for showing sympathy and concern? You my friend are a heartless idiot and your arrogance is the real problem here. I bet you feel good about yourself for saying these mean things... you're a shallow little person.

Rest in peace to the deceased, I hope you've found it.

Thousands of people are dead today. Another pile is coming tomorrow. Stop sanctifying a fact of life as common as a fart at summer camp.

Take things down a big notch. If you have something useful to offer, please do so. Stop the nastiness. Violaters will be banned without warning.

How do you know this was a tragic event to his family? Maybe they hated each other's guts, and they were just as happy to hear it, as he was happy to do it. Beside's the man could have just figured he was 40 years old, accomplished everything he wanted to accomplish, and decided to get off the stage. How many people have the guts to do that? Most, like you, just live lives of quiet desperation, repeating the same things to each other every day like drugged out zombies. Having a kid or two to break up the monotony, and make themselves believe they have a reason to be here.
Just because you're too chicken to do what some would consider a most rational act, doesn't give you the right to talk trash.
For all you know, your husband is thinking about the rest of his life with you, and actively weighing the alternatives. Stop with your arrogance.
I think you're the ARROGANT A** here, at least "Angie"
was speaking with thoughts of helping...not condescending like you!

When you read that a man in London jumped from his office window to his death due to that selfish and maniacal Madoff it is not a surprise and that this is only the beginning. Many foolish people who bought their homes with no down payment and barely able to make house payments think the housing bail out is going to save them.
I am afraid you are all in for a nasty surprise. The bail out is going to be rigidly controlled and those who bought knowing they were basically getting away with murder and wound up in big two story 4 bedroom, 2 and a half bath homes with swimming pools will not be getting much help except possibly loans to help with moving expenses to a trailer in Pacoima.

Wow! Evidently someone's glass is half empty. Yes, I'm sure this guy decided everything had gone great so far so it was time to exit. Now get back to making the fries.

To oh please, where's your heart in all this. I just pray you never endure what this mans family had to endure. Its not for you or anyother heartless, uncaring person to decide if they hated each other or not. The fact remains that another life is gone and nobody has the right to judge or be cruel about it. I'm praying for you as well, only God can soften a heart as hard as yours.
