Wondering

If they gave him your job why didn't you file a complaint with the union. Aren't Medics union? Why would the crew of the set let you go? Did you lose your job because you didn't do it well? The producers are hard to turn and are dedicated to the people that work hard and are good to the crews. Maybe you just didn't care about the way you did your job. Bad employees get fired everyday.

Not so! He was invited to the show when someone was absent on several occasions. Story has it from the crew that there was a situation where confidentiality was breached (friendships had developed) after an incident and medical information was being leaked to other crew members. One of the main line crew members went to management and requested this person be replaced and Frank happened to be there at the time. He had plenty of other work, in the end the show was given to another medic and he finished out the season. A new medic does not have the power to displace another person from their position after they have been performing their job for the crew even by lieing people can see right through that, it would have to come from a higher level. There is enough work for everyone Hollywood is a big place and medics are needed on every job, besides shows come and go it is unusual if they last if they do its a wonderful thing for the cast and crew members.

Not only should Frank Kegel go to prison for a long long time.... but his "girlfriend" (Thousand Oaks)(SC) should be there too. She knew what he was doing all along and was waiting to spend his "millions" he was going to make. She is on here defending him and making up more stories - I dont think she has a clear grasp on Reality.

yea if you trusted them because one of them was one of the deceased friend for 3yrs. yes thats why one of the families trusted his stupid ass. but hey you should judge anyone before even knowing the whole story.

how dumb can people be?
and how did two low income immigrant families have $21,000+ in one case and just as much in another to pay over.
yes, I know they were grieving but to pay over so much cash to 2 men they barely knew....
I didn't know it was so easy to scam people.
Another medic

I know how you feel about losing your position and Frank was able to pick it up. As another female medic who does have to compete with the younger testosterone filled guys as medics the set wanted someone who was able to have fire background and be physically strong to support the many stunts they were doing at the time. There was also a confidentiality issue with the previous medic on set who was sharing too much information with other employees about their personal issues which is a HPPA violation. This is the real reason the set made a decision to replace the medic that was on staff at the time. I am sorry you lost your post, this is a very tough business. Frank was totally way layed by Martin Pelayo and was handed a sentence no one should have had to endure. Try going to prison for 10 years when there was no weapon, no drugs, no alcohol, no gang involvement and a good financial record of being a good medic. Martin was a real con and not until trial did anyone know what he had been doing to his own family. The two families he conned after Frank and his family were related to his girlfriend Brenda, they were all hispanic and did not speak english. Frank spoke german and lived two hours away from Whittier. He was convinced of taking a job as the medic on a team and trusted the security department personell at the set. Why the state didn't pull the guard card is beyond me on MArtin Pelayo who showed up with a strong armed robbery felony and was still working on set for Scrubs!!!! Not until trial did anyone know who these two families even were that Martin had been conning. Frank never knew these men. Luckily Frank is still holding his own. He hadn't had a traffic ticket in 12 years and no prior offenses Martin however had two priors and this made his third strike. When it went to trial the judge did not allow the defense to present any evidence hence Frank who was waiting for Martin in the lobby got pulled into what Martin had been doing and Frank was then handed all the things Martin had done for the past months. Not a fair and justice truly was not served on this man in an appropriate way. Martin should be held accountable for everything he took from Frank and Franks father over this fiasco. It is too involved to make anyone understand. But no he did not take your job as you stated nor did he have the power to manipulate you out of your position there were other things going on, on set that took place regarding confidentiality the cast and crew did not appreciate.
