El Monte residents have nothing to be worried about. They all drive fully insured and they're all legal US citizens with no criminal records.

Dear El Monte PD-Please SET UP ON PECK RD. AT RUST ST!(I want to watch the arrests & impoundments! ;) Also, PLEASE IMPOUND THE CARS OF ALL THE DUI OFFENDERS FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS! When they lose their cars, maybe they will think twice about DUIing!

Watch a whole lot of illegal aliens and their sympathizers come out of the woodwork, and cry discrimination; its not fair taking their cars away driving unlicensed and/or intoxicated.

Thursday? Why Thursday? I would think a Friday or Saturday would be more successful? They should set up a few small checkpoints instead of just one big one.(just a thought)

They should do a gang member check point too. They should stop people suspected of looking like cholos and ask them, "where you from?" or "do you bang?"

Can I donate money to these operations? I would have a car wash just to raise money, instead of after the fact when the illegal unlicensed drunk kills an innocent family!

Cool! Now that we know where all the cops are going to be on Thursday night between 6pm and 2 am, the real criminals can all feel free to rob the city blind!

I hope the EMPD stands their ground on these checkpoints. Will the council back up their PD or will they have them doing dog license checks when the lawbreakers complain?
Hope they get a bunch of losers in this checkpoint..

Hope that someone on angel dust doesn't jump out of the back of one of these cars and shoot the cops. Good job EMPD. We salute you.

The cops should do this about every week, and also a cholo round up every week.
