I have to agree with the first few comments, people from other countries do not have the sanitation habits we have in the U.S. You can drive through Mexico and see outhouses and large garbage cans overflowing in the streets. I'm sure it's like that in other parts of the world also, especially third world countries. And it only takes a few of them to spread out of control. Also, too many people these days live in filth!!!!

By the early 1950ís bed bugs were nearly eliminated from the North American continent as a result of the widespread use of DDT. Their numbers were so decimated that generations raised after that time thought they were a myth, perpetuated in a nursery rhyme. Unfortunately, bed bugs are very real. The banning of DDT and the marked increase in international travel, have rapidly given us a resurgence of these nasty pests. Their increase started slowly at first, sort of like the front side of a bell curve, but then accelerated and intensified. We now appear to be on the steep and rapidly rising back side of the curve, with no idea of when the population will peak or when the curve will flatten out. These vampiric little critters have nothing to do with sanitation at all. But they love a cluttered environment that has lots of little nooks and crannies to hide in.
No, toxic pesticides are not the way to go to get rid of them. There is a new product that is just coming out on the market called BBX and it not only gets rid of the little guys but also leaves a non-toxic residual that is guaranteed for one year. It even has an efficacy test done by one of the leading entomologists in the nation. Finally! There number is 1-888-819-2837

Bed bugs are a big problem. I went to a vegas hotel came back with the bugs, tried a few pest companies but thaey failed. You really need to goto an expert that cares.I found a local company "Los Angeles bed bug removal" located in LA. They worked great, not cheap but worth every penny. I give them 5 stars.
