The school board of the past has put too much interest and effort in test scores and as a result, are slighting other programs such as art, band, and orchestra. Hopefully the new school board will be more focused on helping students gain knowledge rather than purely test scores.

The Arts are an essential part of education. Test scores often reflect the ability "to take a test". Some kids freeze and don't score well. We also need a board that will respect teachers, staff and administrators and stop micromanaging every detail. Thank goodness Lee Freeman has retired.

I agree, test scores aren't everything. It's time for change in the school board leadership! Our kids need a well rounded education, not just training in how to fill out standardized tests!

Change is definitely needed. There is an election coming up and you need to check out the candidates carefully. Several of them are just puppets for Mr. Freeman and Mr. Slonken.
