My feelings go out to the children of such irresponsible parents.

You should not have a pit bull if you have toddlers. Beyond freaking obvious!

The boy was bitten in the lip and the injury did not appear to be life-threatening, however he was flown by helicopter to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles as a precaution

I guess an ambulance was to expensive? Who Is the moron that authorized a helicopter for this B.s?

probably some paramedic that was advised as to how much you overpaid in rent to your landlord last year and how much he overpaid in property taxes so he requested an aero unit in order to prevent the county from having an excessive amount in their coffers that they would have to return to a welfare recipient moron dip$hit like you !!!!

I just hope this baby is ok. Costs dont matter in a case like this, this baby didnt ask for this. This baby deserves the best treatment as any baby in this country deserves. My prayers go out to this baby!If this was your baby you would want the best treatment for this baby and Childrens Hospital is the best for our babies. I know because one of my babies was born with a brain abnormality and has recieved the best care from Childrens. God Bless this baby and all of the babies at Childrens. People forget that all of these babies belong to families who love their babies more than anything.

Oh baloney.

This is a 4 year old boy. If the boy pestered the dog while the dog was eating then it is the boy's fault. He did something he should not have done and he received a bite for it.

I'm not a big fan of this breed but I'm not a big fan of parents who do not teach their children proper etiquette either. If you are going to have this dog then you have to take proper precautions.

Totally agree, that breed of dog is not suitable with toddlers and small children.

Fortunately, the child should be OK, the dog should be executed.

Pit bulls should be banned. They are not good family dogs.
More and more bites are occurring.

This was done as a precaution, an ambulance will take longer to get to the
hospital, the copter is much quicker. The Paramedics make the decision to
have a copter respond due to the nature of the injury. Most local
hospitals do not have trauma teams and trauma surgeons. Flying the
child out is the best since most bigger hospitals (in L.A.) have trauma staff
and specialized surgeons on site who can provide the best care for the patient.

I watched this chopper over the 210 freeway as it was preparing to land & thought someone must be seriously hurt. Then the article says child was only bitten in the lip & not serious. There is a great hospital up on Grand Ave. in Glendora called Foothill Presbyterian & an ambulance could have gotten there in a matter of minutes, actually a shorter time than I think it took to transport to LA. Any dog will get agressive while it is eating. I blame the parents in this case for not teaching the child to stay away from dogs while they are eating, I have a cattle dog mix & he would tear you up if someone was in his face while he was eating. Oh, & by the way, we also own a Golden Retrevier & a Pit Bull. Bottom line, PARENTS WATCH YOUR CHILDREN MORE CLOSELY WHILE AROUND DOGS!!

The Injury was not life threatening so instead of calling an ambulance to take him to queen of the valley, some "moron" as u called them ordered a helicopter to extract the kid out of enemy fire!(sarcasm). I see what your saying waste of tax dollars.

Someone call Cesar Milan!

Petey on the Little Rascals was a Pit Bull, so is Daddy on The Dog Whisperer. It's all the bad inbreeding that makes dogs mean, not the dogs nature. The dog should have been trained to be non-food aggressive from puppyhood.
It's not the dog's breed, it's the people (breeders and owners).
