This is just sad! How can you guys be talking about race right now? This could happened to anybody. Can you only imagine what this family is going thru right now? All the pain? How the mother feels? How the aunt must feel? HORRIBLE! instead you guys rather act immature and talk about race, no license, "go back to mexico", "popping out babies like no tomorrow"... That's none of your business. I'm 20, and it seems like I have a more mature thinking than all of you.
I agree - this tragedy could happen to anyone IF WE ALLOW PEOPLE LIKE THE AUNT TO DRIVE WITHOUT A LICENSE. The innocent victim could've been MY CHILD or anyone else's loved ones!!! I am tired of hearing how certain things are "none of your business"..... because YES IT IS OUR BUSINESS when someone breaks the law and put another's life at risk! I do not want to make it my business only when it happens to ME. Then it will be too late.

If you are 20 and think breaking a law is okay - then sorry, your maturity level isn't as high as you think it is. Again...maybe because of the fact that you ARE only 20, nothing is really your business unless if it ONLY involves you. Childish thinking.

I KNOW how most likely, what the mom feels...GUILT. The aunt? GUILT.

This "accident" wouldn't have happened if the aunt didn't get behind the wheel to back up to head to wherever she was planning to go WITHOUT a license or proper insurance. She was LUCKY this happened on a private driveway or else she would be sitting in a jail cell right now. I really hope they can look into her immigration status as well because if she is here in the States illegally - DEPORT HER!

First of all, you don't make sense.

So were you disagreeing with me by calling me an "retard"? or were you agreeing with me since you mentioned that I brought up a "Fact"? How about making up your mind before commenting?

Second of all, your choice of words and name calling made it obvious that your maturity level is just as bad,if not worse, than the commenter I was directly replying to.

You can sit behind your computer screen and google up more intelligent words to include in your response to this reply, however, this will be my last reponse to your comment on this thread since this shouldn't be about you.

Not sure if any of you heard the news a couple weeks ago in Claremont where the best friend ran over and killed her friend on "accident"... but she had a license.... if she had a license, this shouldn't have happened, right? She should have known how to handle the vehicle. We should lock her up and throw away the key becuase she failed. How dare she have an accident. The license is some mysterious power and doesn't allow it, doesn't allow you to be human! How stupid is that?? Then there is the idiot truck driver from Santa Barbara that also had a license, but ran down a mother and 2 children as the crossed in a crosswalk and drug the stroller down a few hundred yard... all because he was under the influence of drugs and alchohol, but I assume this is okay because he had a license, right?? Grow up, it doesn't matter, license or not, lives were lost, tragic event for the families.... END OD STORY!!!! God bless all the families affected.

It's so easy to manipulate stories to fit your agenda. What you say is true that a license isn't a magical wand that makes everything work out. However, it is a start. At least if you possess a valid license, it is presumed that you know the rules of the road and the intricate workings of the vehicle you are driving. Drugs and alcohol use while driving is addressed in the driver's license handbook that you are required to read and understand prior to getting a license. If you are a law abiding citizen you abstain from them when driving. In this incident, the aunt had NO license, so had NO right to be behind the wheel of the car. Had she followed the rules / law, the child could well we alive today.

not manipulating anything, just stating the facts as I see them.... read what you said, even those that have a license break the laws.... and even kill people. Have you ever received a ticket... did you not break the law??? Did you not follow the rules or read the drivers handbook??? Are you perfect?? Think NOT!! Happens to everyone!!!

Thank you for re-iterating my comment. Having a license or insurance has nothing to do with this accident!!!

Yes, it does. If she had not been driving,(which she shouldn't have, since she didn't have one), that baby would still be alive.

OK I doubt this will make sense to you but let me try anyway...the fact that this woman did or did not have two pieces of paper in her car (ie; license and insurance) does not mean the child would still be alive. Apparantly this woman does what she wants when she wants and it is her NEGLIGENCE and tragic luck that killed this lil angel.

Her being unlicensed has a lot to do with what happened to that poor baby. By law, anyone without a license cannot be behind the wheel of a vehicle. If she would of complied with the law, that baby would still be alive. Something that could of easily been prevented.
