Franczak goes from Will at age 11 to 'Tommy' at 22

Zachary Franczak, who grew up in Novato, has landed the biggest role of his young career, playing the title character in an ambitious production of the Who s rock opera "Tommy" at the Victoria Theatre in San Francisco.

This opera is an extremely timely piece. It speaks to the causes of war amd how to stop it. I've been waiting for this. We need rock energy to fight the hopelessness of these times. Obama needs rock n roll!
