Carlos Fierro will go to trial in Santa Fe in September, a judge ruled Monday, rejecting a defense request to move the trial to Rio Arriba County.

Right or Wrong he is still walking the streets. Judge Vigil is a very responsible man and I generally agree with the things he has done, but I am not sure that giving Fierro "free time" from house arrest is a good thing. Who's to say what this man will do next. Since he has moved to ABQ, let the lawyers go to him.

Is it really possible that his "house arrest" will also count as time served? I don't think that is at all fair, as he is not being restricted or in jail. If there are any lawyers out there to answer the question I would sure appreciate it.
