there is ONE question. was the driver of the car that hit and killed the pedestrian INTOXICATED? YES or NO nothing else matters. the leaving the scene of the accident.. the state police in the passenger seat next to him.. the driving later to return to the scene of the accident with a tire blown without headlights on.. these will all be ICING ON THE CAKE. it's too bad they can't bring that fat a$$ richardson into this... just as they can't charge that fat a$$ richardson with that boating accident 2 weeks ago at elephant butte. richardson ILLEGALLY leaves the scene every time there is an accident with death or personal property damaged..

at least maybe they can impound his black bmw and sell it off...
yea right.
bill richardson will make a phone call and 'intercept' that order.
isn't it funny that a LAWYER who is driving around the city DRUNK with a nm state police officer who is on BILL RICHARDSON'S PRIVATE DETAIL can run down and KILL a citizen...
... and the MAXIMUM he is facing is 9 years?
only in santa fe.
p.s. and for anyone that might say, "gee.. judge hang em is prejudging his driving will drunk and killing this person with his car.."
no.
actually, the defense isn't even denying that. they are trying to convolute the story with totally irrelevant contributions..

Here comes the lynch mob...give me a break. I think there are enough questions that no one will know what happened until the trial. And what is with the "he owned up to his mistakes" seems that this isn't the first time the guy was doing something reckless like walking across the middle of the street backward and in all black. Interesting how this gets more press than the owens case...oh ya, it involves a hispanic at the wheel.

Who had that reckless past again?

I don't know, maybe ask the familys "spokesperson" who worked for Richardson and other politicos and continues to. Common sense would tell you that he is a part of this, on the other end. And I want to know, if he was with them...why didn't anyone see him at willees...maybe he was incognito, since that would be very easy....ya right. This is a soap opera and we have all played into the media hand. Whatever.... Judge Hang em wrote: there is ONE question. was the driver of the car that hit and killed the pedestrian INTOXICATED? True, but I don't know about that, we don't know what the case is going to show, plus he is taking the stand which I have NEVER seen anyone else do. I always told my kids if I was ever charged with something I didn't do I would take the stand, what the heck would I have to hide right?., so I think the guy has got a point, and given the way the New Mexican writes it stories I think you and I know they are often biased so I wouldn't put a civil suit past anyone, bottom line is if we blog, chances are its not long before our IPs are given up.

Good points, but I think the issue is "perceived guilt" who are the ones creating that perception? The paper and other outlets so if indeed his career or Tenorios background, and even who caused the accident are not like the paper made it seem, or if they didn't do their due diligence...its a major lawsuit because we are all publicly going off on people here. On that note, this old lady is going to slow it down on the blogging for now. I am broke as it is..lol

Lawsuit naming people? Bring it on. I will be VERY HAPPY to testify on my viewpoints in this case... And do you even understand what "blogging" is? Nobody on Topix is "blogging" anything... Topix is a glorified discussion site that allows free speech by a bunch of jerks, like myself, who are only running on what we are receiving from the media and the official sources involved in highly publicized and sensational news stories. Nobody here is "blogging" per say... We're just posting opinions in the best case, and spam in the worst... A lawsuit naming any Topix opinion posts would be laughed out of court in half a second because opinions are like A*s*o*le's, everyone has one and this is America. And in any case, every post on Topix is logged by IP address, EVEN YOURS, so get over it buddy... They can find you too. Thanks for posting, "Anonymous hmm" You're being tracked! experience tells us he has a good chance of getting off, and that's a shame for santa fe, however, so is a high profile, double dipper, Mayir Cuss daily buddy, Ruben Lovato, who dears to drive a city car with a suspended license, gets caught DUI, keeps his job, not even a slap on the hand, and still drives a city car, not only is Coss guilty of not doing anything so is the council, as a father thank you for the role model, ruben and yourselves, let's see how many will remember when elections happen.

"Fierro trial to revisit fateful night". Well, yeah, let's hope so. "Brilliant", headline title New Mexican reporter, just "brilliant". Unfortunately this case will probably prove to be nothing but a waste of time and taxpayer money. Fierro likely is not going anywhere, and whoever mentioned the suit against the posters, my gawd what ignorance. On what grounds do you think that is going to happen, genius?
