50 yrs thats it El Paso cmon that kid was a born loser, constant problems with him at home in the community, and school. The Death Penalty would have been a better fit for him, because once he is released he will be a problem in the community. Trust me on this issue. Judge Bonnie rangel way to go YOU ARE ON THE BALL YOU DOUCHE BAG

it turns out to be 25 yrs thanks to our prison system. So I think you are the dumb ass. 25 yrs isnt anything for taking someones life. I am pretty sure if you are in his defense your life isnt worth anymore than 25 yrs. either your mom shoulda swallowed you

50 years is a long time people. If you have never been locked up before, you dont realize how long it really is. There is no set time that determines the value of ones life. Also, I think that each case should be taken in context. We dont know what happened in the situation. There are other reports that the victim was blowing smoke in the defendants face and basically looking for trouble. I dont think it warranted him being killed but there was a fight also where we dont have the details but know that the victims brother was also present and was most likely involved in the altercation. We dont know what led to the weapon being produced. This could have very well been a case of self defense. The brother was not stabbed. Dont be too hassty to judge Jack D. Do you know this guy (the defendant) and the details of his past (charges)? Do you know what the media reports of the truth? They report from a biased point of view....theirs. You see the story the way they want you to see it. Your judgement will be recompensed to you seven fold Jack D. It will come to pass.

I actually knew him growing up and I truly think that prison is the best place for him.... When 25 years is up make sure u lock ur doors... The city will not be safe with him on the street... And their is a 90 percent chance that it wasn't self defense because this isn't the first person he hurt... Not even the sixth or seventh... He Is berry dangerous!!

Hey Lala,
U say u knew or know Matthew? What kind of person was/is he? Was/is he the type person who looks for trouble or the type that trouble seems to find? I did a little digging and what I found was that he had been in some disputes/altercations with local gangs. It seems that that this could have been related. U say people should lock their doors when he gets out....why is that? Is he like that?
