Wanna bet this Cyclist was zipping between lanes, over the speed limit, like he was gonna live forever? Wake up people. Cycle Riders, learn from this tragedy, or die..........

You don't think the big rig was lane weaving, etc.? If he was, the biker didn't have a chance since the big rigs are so agile and motorcycles are so slow and unable to avoid other vehicles.

If anyone believes this, there's a bridge in Brooklyn we need to discuss.

Could be, or maybe he was in the truckers enormous blind spot, or it could be something else entirely.

Unfortunately the article doesn't give us much to go on.

To Lane Jumper, why don't you think before you speak or write for that matter. Instead of talking without knowing the circumstances of the accident, try thinking about the family he left behind which included kids.

It is dark at 5:20am maybe just maybe the big rig did not see him. So very sad and tragic.

My deepest sympathy to his parents, family and friends,(wife and kids if he had them). God bless him....AND HIS FAMILY.

Posters: don't be so quick to judge...his family, wife and kids may be reading this.

DEEPEST SYMPATHY :-(

Fred was a very skilled motorcyclist on a large sized harley. AND he was my friend. God bless his wife and children. Pray for them if you are one to do so. Being critical is really not necessary on either driver. Especially without any facts available.

There is no need to lane split at 5:20am when there is no traffic. However, for the record, in high traffic lane splitting is legal due to the necessities of the cooling systems in motorcycles. I hope his family members don't read your comments. You lack empathy.

Just saw an article here in the DN that kinda supports what you post. The article said LA has the second-worst roads in the nation.

Wonder if those unrepaired potholes had anything to do with this accident.

If the sleazebags who run the city and county would do what they are supposed to do - which includes road repair - and stop stealing from the general fund for the illegals and bloated union contracts and pensions - that motorcyclist might be with us today.

Think they care?

The fact that you feel the need to show ignorance and comment as you do about a man you know nothing about and an accident you once again know nothing about shows your level of stupidity. Your issues sound pretty deep! The Fraijo family has an amazing bond and love for each other...this you should learn from and stop filling your idle time with the idiotic comments and find a real hobby or better yet spend time with your family.

That Big Rig said to be Parked and The innocent Biker rammed into it? I believe that Someone may have Bumped/Pushed him or Ran him off the Lane? I've seen almost nobody uses thier Turn Signals on 10 Frwy since They have no respect for all people or Bikers!
My prayers and condolence goes to Fred's family & friends.
