San Dimas preparing to ditch Old West theme in downtown
Storefronts along Bonita Avenue in downtown San Dimas reflect an Old West theme adopted in the 1970s, but the City Council last week OK'd a contract to renovate some facades to reflect their architectural styles from the early 20th century.

Don't trust your politicians. Just make sure the plan makes sense. San Dimas is a model city in the San Gabriel Valley. You do not want to turn it into what neighboring cities to the west have become. I moved to San Dimas because of its old town charm.
