The artificial turf subject is now rearing it's head at Highlands now that it has been banned at Heather ...
The issue is not about fields for our youth groups ... it's about renting out our fields to adult groups that want to play anything until 10-11pm at night.
Instead of putting artificial turf on fields where San Carlos Youth groups and our school childen play, why don't we build a field out on the East side of 101 on property San Carlos does own and rent out that area ....
I will be happy to debate what costs what at a city council meeting as it has been proven costs are escalated by the in-house people when someone disagrees with their position. I am sure the same is going to happen up at Highlands.
It is now the Highlands group to protect their fields just as the Heather people did ... being informed and in front of the proposed changes does work ...
