Protesters line El Camino over five war-torn years in Iraq

Anti-war activists in San Mateo and along the Peninsula marked the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq by lining El Camino Real to protest the conflict.

People seem more concerned about the downward spiraling economy than the Iraq war. The Republican hooligans ignored the age-old classic economic "Guns vs. Butter" argument, thinking it no longer applied to our rock solid and dynamic economy. Our MBA president and Vice President "So" Cheney believed the country could have both GUNS and BUTTER.

Usually the choice is one or the other but it's starting to look like it's maybe neither.

A colossal waste of human capital pusuing Jr's vendetta..He gave us lies to get in there and has turned this country back 20 years in terms of what we have paid in billions of dollars that could of gone into education, infrastructure repair and improving the lot of most Americans. Our troops followed orders..they are not at fault...its the Leadership, or lack of leadership that is so disheartening..
