Migrating monarchs draw big crowd to Santa Cruz

Emma Morton arrived at Natural Bridges State Beach on Sunday with giant orange and black cardboard monarch butterfly wings pinned to her back and a headband with black felt antennas.

The governor wants to rip out those monarch trees and build multi million dollar homes. He plans on selling our state parks to public developers. Once they are gone, we never get them back, never.

Went there today, just a little while ago. The Monarchs were safely nestled up in the trees. They will be riding out quite a storm if the meteorologists are right.
