Bone girl,
Please tell me that you are messing around. I hope you really aren't as ignorant as you sound. Police departments cant "buy" parts of other cities. Colton PD is in "in San Bernardino," they are in Colton. Oh and a quick trip to the Colton PD website shows that they do not have hummers. Crips are lowlife monkeys You are an idiot.. |
||||
|
The Colton Police Department sucks. They are the gang in colton who everyone is scared of.
|
||||
|
What exactly does a Crip look like? How will Colton PD distinguish between members of that gang and honest citizens? This smacks justification for
racial profiling.Did Colton's DA think refering to apartments,whose tenants have historically been predominately African-American ,by it's street name ('the zoo") would provide dramatic effect? Is he that blind to know it's a racist nickname? What about the hispanic gang just up Mill street around Pennsilvania? What is CM Del La Rosa's roll in this? Everyone knows of his street cred/friendship with the Hispanic gang (who a few years back threatened then Mayor Diedre Bennett with retaliation over the police shooting of one of it's members until DeLaRosa saved the day ). Perhaps the Hispanic gang is crying to him that they want more control over that area ? Why only go after one gang when there are two in that area? Lots of unanswered questions here.Hope the ACLU gets involved in what ,in essence is similar to good ole' segregation (like I said,how do you identify a Crip unless they of course, are wearing "colors"?). |

Colton resident: there are those in the police department that "act a fool" personally i worry about the S.B.C.S.O. and Its Deputies. but we should not label them as A-holes because of the few that take advantage of their position of power. they are not all bad.
OBSERVER: Colton police have specialized gang units and work with SBPD's S.M.A.S.H. unit. They keep detailed files on all known gang members in the San Bernardino and Colton areas. Besides, its not that hard to spot someone doing something suspicious in that area. "The Zoo" is also not a term made up by our Law Enforcement, I've lived in Colton for 30 years, have family that live right around the corner from "The Zoo". THe people in the area named it such(not the police) because the people living in it acted like caged violent animals. Shootings everynight, Drugs, Robberies, Prostitution, this went on and on. Hispanic gangs in colton are on such a small scale simply because they are too busy fighting amongst themselves. anyone remeber how bad it was when Hanna st gang, west Mt vernon gang, North Side Colton and South Side Colton gang feuds were going on in the 80's and 90's. Gunshots in South Colton was a regular event everynight when I was a kid. get your head out of the sand dude! I can walk down my street at night now because of police tactics like this. tell you what.....rent an apartment at the Zoo and stay for a month, I got $100 tht says you wont last 2 weeks and change your tune about this whole thing. thx for reading |

case in point: I asked my neigbor,an old baracho,
what he thought: "it's about time they get rid of those damn mullates (blacks)".But what, I asked,about those who are not gange members?"I don't care,ship 'em all out-make those apartments into the new senior housing" |
||||

I'm sick of the term african American. Call them blacks. They are black. Call them african American when they are from africa.
The gang injunction was against DOCUMENTED COLTON CITY CRIP MEMBERS. Not crips. Educate yourself observer. All of these animals should be caged up and shipped to some island where they can kill each other in peace. |
||||
No matter where a man comes from, as long as he's a black man he's an African descendant An I suppose officers have memorized the face of every single member so they will recognize them on site ? Or will they be stopping every balck man that dares to walk into Stater Brothers?The Colton City Crips are part of a much larger bunch with chapters nationwide,what is to stop them from shipping in reinforcements/ replacements? It would justify officers stopping black folks at random ,even if it did not happen ,members being shipped in that is. In the mid 1980's ,police in Kingston ,Jamaica took the same hardline stance that Colton is taking.Now Jamaica is the murder capital of the world.Most notably, Tivoli Gardens Housing Project, home turf of a gang that,much like Colton's scenario, had roots over 20 years in that area. Tivoli Gardens is now known as a garrison-a fortress of sorts.The police force in any given area of Kingston is outnumbered 20-1 by gang members,with one officer killed per week in 2006 alone.. http://www.youtube.com/watch... .history has shown prevention is the key-not war. |

Wow, you are a complete idiot. This is the USA, not Jamaica. We are taking about an urban area over run by gangs in the USA, not an island with no real government or municipal police force worth a crap.
Crips calling in reinforcements?? Do you think this is a war? These are low lifes living in a section 8 housing, not rebel forces led by smart generals. Again you prove your ignorance. You act as if this gang injunction is some new tactic deployed by Police. Gang injunctions happen everywhere and have been for years. They are useful tools to combat gangs with. Again you need to educate your self so you don't sound so ignorant. Here is a homework assignment for you. Do some research into what gang injunctions are, and what Police and DAs can do with them. Then you won't sound so stupid when you come here and make ignorant comments. |

Oh, and our taxes are also at a record low because,thanks to the gang injunctions, the prison population is also at an all time low...
When the government starts cutting your sosical security benefits to help pay for more law enforcement ,more prisons ,more discrimination lawsuits for racial profiling,you'll be asking "there must be a better way..." Poverty is the root cause of crime..where are the jobs? Unemeployment is at an all time low.as our friend Gary keeps pointing out,we are in a recession Yeah,you are a Rhodes Scholar ,Truth |

Police depends on criminal activity, It's the officers livelihood.
If you remove all the criminals then you will have to layoff officers. Just a thought. |

Two Colton Councilmen rely on crime for there livelihoods as well-one is a Deputy Sheriff while the other is a Corrections Officer -both backed a failed Mayoral recall attempt-the injunction area is in one of these Council men 's district,a councilman by the way,whom witness' have claimed elsewhere in this forum could have prevented the recall but chose instead to deliver an ultimatum rather than negotiate on behalf of 3 citizens who sought his support.He campaigned of course for the position,revealing an ulterior motive for botching further negotiations between the incumbent and said citizens.Stepping up crime in his area -to the point an injunction is needed (remember-he is a corrections officer and deals with gang members on a daily basis)would certainly benefit him politically during an election season.In the months prior to the election he was publicly at odds with the Police Union,whom he claimed ,again publicly,was out to get him. Putting officers in a potentially volatile atmosphere as what is being created here would also serve him well.Just another thought. |

Did you watch the other Ross Kemp specials on gangs elsewhere in the world? Gangs are a huge problem in the Third World-there a cities elsewhere in this country taking a more progressive approach than what is being done in Third World countries (declaring war on gangs). . Obviously you did not watch the video and have no clue what was on it,which was not rebel forces but simple street gangs similar in nature to those here.Through out history,even the most brilliant of military strategists have met there Waterloo because they under-estimated the intelligence of there enemy.Assuming the above can put an officers life in danger,while you sit back in your ivory tower telling yourself how smart you are . Refusing to learn from the mistakes of others, even if they are in other countries or some small island,is a much more telling sign of ignorance,sir. |

It's been a long time since you have shown your ignorance here. You have written your typical non-sense. At least this time your comments almost have some sense of direction, even though it is ignorant.
Welcome back Crawford! |

Where did you get this information from? Were you at the meeting where an ultimatum was delivered? Or are you relying on false information?
I regularly watch the council meetings and I can tell you there was never an ultimatum. The mayor was begging for a way to get out of being recalled and asked what she should do. The councilman suggested some things that could be done and was later accused of giving an ultimatum. Truth does not seem to matter to you. I have read your posts in other topics and you keep putting forward the propaganda certain people at city hall feed you. If they told you aliens landed in their backyard you would probably believe that as well.

LOL if you want to have a good laugh, read everything David Crawford has posted. Sometimes it makes me want to seek psychological help for him, but most times I just shake my head and
laugh. I picture him as a wheel chair bound 30 year old who never finished highschool due to self esteem problems. He has on the same star treck shirt from last week and milk shake on his chin. Right now he is reading this yelling at his mom to get him some oreos. See I have imagination also :) |
